Tanking the Go Go Gorgimera fate with my Carby is much easier with these guys around. I think they stun the head to stop the AOE . The add mobs still keep the challenge up since I can stand closer now, fight adds and keep massive HP tank Carby alive. He get so many cheers and pet emotes lately after a good fight.
I'm on AT&T and I rarely have problems. I'm on a high QoS low latency old school DSL line, though, so my packet loss tends to be very minimal and my pings are fast, even though the flow rare of data is not very large.
I'm also on a DSL line myself, very good pings (40ms to west coast from the east coast), but I only get 3Mbps down and 0.75Mbps up.
Never normally have trouble with FFXI or XIV, 'cept last night.
Well with level 3 it is a huge battle with other ISP's.
A big part that hit allot of us on Sunday is Netflix is paying for guaranteed bandwidth to some sip/backbone providers..
Sunday nights are busier nights of the week on the internet and now add the colder than normal weather. Winter more people stay home and use the internet more. So more people sitting home on the internet and especially watching movies.
We got put in the slow lane.
This is what the whole net neutrality act is about so this dont happen.. Internet is equal for all...
These big companies are going to pay for their bandwidth and the users suffer. Us gamers are going to be at the bottom of the barrel.
Kind of blackmail, SE you want better internet for your users pay us even though you are not on our network.. These companies like level 3 are trying to make money from both ends. Also you are not a level 3 customer and a customer of verizon or att your going to get slower internet when going through us.
This would be like verizon blocking or slowing text from a att customer or sprint.
The net neutrality law would fix this..
Otherwise SE is going to have to pay the backbone providers for bandwidth or break up their servers by region and move them..
Some of us have been having a issue for a while during these times but the issue is now spreading to more and more and will continue to get worse as usage goes up..
Basically during peak hours we are getting our internet slowed down..
Some of us have seen this for a year on and off , some like me about 2 months and now it hit even more and will continue to get worse.
