Nonono. This is when you withdraw from the Duty READY window. That means that the game has put together a party for you and is just asking you to confirm that you're ready for the dungeon. This isn't about punishing people who un-queue themselves because of a long wait. This is about the people that wait until the party is ready to go and then drop to put everyone else back in queue.

^^^^
This!

I really stinking hate it when I'm sitting in a 20+ minute DPS queue and I get the "DUTY READY!" and I click confirm and instantly, it says "Someone has withdrawn."

5 seconds later: "DUTY IS READY!"

"Someone has withdrawn."

Then I wait......5.....10......15 seconds and I'm like eh, wut?

Then I check my Duty Status window and I'm in a group with 2DPS, 0 Heals, 0 Tank. Apparently the tank/heals got re-assigned to another group and I MIGHT have a group 10 minutes later. Maybe.

I'm glad they are punishing the trolls withdrawing from duty constantly to troll people. This kind of crap used to happen in WoW too, and IIRC, they haven't done something like this in WoW yet. Hopefully they will in the future. IMO, you should get a stacking penalty with each Withdraw.

IMO, a better system would be:

First Offense: 15minutes (resets when you complete a duty)
Second Offense: 1 hour (resets next game day)
Third Offense: Can't queue until next game day

This'd teach people to only Queue up when they are serious about doing a duty but allow the occasional "whoops I got called AFK, sorry!" moment to not count against your daily offenses as long as you don't do it twice in a row.

Ugh.. Feels like time is going by soooo slow! So ready for this patch to hit!

Edit: Also find it hard to get hyped about 2.5 with all the info out about 2.4 and 3.0.. seems like 2.5 is just a side note right now. I hope they release some major things with 2.5 to keep the hype train sustained at high levels! lol

They probably will. If nothing else 2.5 will end the current story line and lead us into 3.0.

* The Ninjutsu action can perform one of several specific actions based on the combination of mudras made immediately beforehand. These individual actions can only be executed by using Ninjutsu, and cannot be assigned to the hotbar, nor activated from the Actions & Traits interface.
can't be active by the d-pad cause u use thos in combat to switch targets and such so if u can't assign to hotbar and such this is gonna make roque/ninja useless

You assign the individual mudras to the hotbar and then fire the combination with the Ninjutsu command... so something like:
Chi -> Jin -> Ten -> Ninjutsu
This gets you Huton (which I keep wanting to spell Futon, forgive me for when I inevitably do that).

As for doing things with the d-pad, I'll freely admit I don't play with a controller, but then I have to ask the question.... how are you doing anything else in combat with the d-pad if it f's with your targeting?

Yes, agreed. People withdrawing and having to keep pressing that button over and over, hopefully this will solve that.

It feels like Darklight dropping from dungeons is mostly because you can't get it any other way anymore. Since Myth can still be bought for Allied Notes, it's more likely that ilvl 90 dungeon drops would drop something with their own graphics instead.

If you look through the list of new items it doesn't look like there's anything that really fits that criteria, though. We'll find out soon enough! :)

Allied Notes now buy soldiery-level items. Myth-level items have been removed from that vendor.

I think the possibility of that gear showing up in the 3 new dungeons is quite strong.

Did not catch that from the notes. I'm going to have to agree then.

"Due to an operations error, some items to be implemented in future patches, such as Patch 2.45 and 2.5, were incorrectly included in the Patch 2.4 notes. Because of this, we have removed these items from the patch notes. We apologize to players who were eager to obtain and enjoy these new items. "

Anyone happen to catch what this was?

I noticed the amount of allied seals required to purchase the soldiery items to be significantly higher than what we had been paying for the Myth gear. While I don't think it's really a bad thing, I think it seems more efficient to collect Soldiery gear with tomes and just use the seals to get the Oils/Sands you need (if the once per week continues in ST). I didn't see anything about changing that limitation in the notes.

I do wonder why they removed the Myth gear from that particular avenue. Hopefully they implement something that allows people to gear up to i90 just as quickly (you know, not RNG drops in dungeons).

The only new DoW/DoM gear listed below 110 was ninja, so I doubt there will be new gear dropping from the new dungeons

That is directly from the Lodestone, it was just added within the hour I believe. It's in red right above items now.

As with normal dungeons and trials, players can now receive rewards as many times as desired.

I patched this morning while I was in the shower, then logged on briefly to buy the property that I wanted. Even doing that, I had to go to ward 8 to get the one I wanted.

I woke up at 4:30 am central so I got up and patched the game.. Crawled back into bed and got up a little latter and logged Tesee's charter on and bought her the house she wanted..
Lots of land left on ultros at that time. Matter of fact she told me 3 houses she wanted and only ward 1 had all 3 sold. Only one of the 3 houses was sold in 3 other wards and all available in others... These were small houses with the most expensive rating....
Seems more people were ready this time and medium houses were selling better...
Any Tes was excited when she called me today and found out she got the exact piece of land she wanted...

Anyway, I thought when you buy a house it was supposed to give you as option for a permit.. It didn't, so where do you get a permit?

I think some of the NPCs in the market areas of the housing wards sell those building permits.

I guess it is in your menus under social > housing..
I saw housing under mine last night but it was greyed out...
I was too lazy last night to log Tes on.. I might just wait till she gets home.. She is the one who really wanted the house..
In FFXI she had her rooms decorated to the hilt.. Was actually amazing what she did with those small rooms.. She had one in each city..
I think she owned every piece of furniture or decoration from every event.
My room was basically the largest dressers I could get for inventory... 4 large dressers..
I wish they had that stuff in the events for FFXIV instead of mainly just level 1 clothes... The barding is cool for Halloween and Christmas but some furniture would be cool..
