Target of Target DoTsFollow

As a CONJ, I generally only target the tank and cast Aero using a macro with <tt> in it. Is there a command or option so that I can see my DoT on the target of target?

I'm not quite sure what you mean - you want to see what debuffs you've added to the mob?

Well, when you target the mob, it will show the DoTs and the timer left. Since you prefer to keep the tank targeted, you could also focus target <tt> to see the mob status and keep the tank targeted.

Im not a marcro wiz, but Im sure someone out there knows how to marcro it, or you can manually focus target if you dont want to macro it.

Only way I can think of would be to make the mob your focus target. Does "/focustaget <tt>" macro work?

Add focus target to your Aero <tt> macro

Aero <tt>
Focus Target <tt>

Sounds like you need to focus target the enemy in question, so that a separate bar appears in addition to your main target's (the tank's). Now if you are killing a boss that is fine, but it sounds like you want one for every enemy you kill, which could get tedious if you are manually setting focus targets for every enemy you run across.

Maybe this will work, although I have never tested <tt> with /focustarget...

/ac Aero <tt>
/focustarget <tt>

Also, this thread may help:

I used to do the same and it worked great with Focus Target. Gets a little muddled when you have more than just 4 people attacking the mob and putting debuffs on, but it works :)

My suggestion would be to consider having a 2nd palette or area where you don't have <tt> but just <t>. Reason being is that as you get better and better at healing, you'll find you're able to multi-task more and when dealing with multiple mobs, sometimes boss fights where the tank stays on the main boss while you can assist in the other mobs (Tam-Tara for an easy example with the imps/adds), having the ability to quickly toss a DoT on something the tank isn't targeting is useful.

For now as you learn... <tt> works great, but maybe you can start envisioning opportunities such as this so as you feel more comfortable, you can expand a bit. :)
