Eh.....wha?

Okay Haste +9% would be good and all, but it'd require you to have MP (which could be gotten from equipment, sure) but would require Refresh to keep the Latent active. And even then, it is only 9%. Noticeable, but it won't suddenly change the fact you are using a slow-as-balls weapon that almost never skills up, even after 10, 20 hits in a row on a Tough or higher mob.

But with all the changes made to the game, the point is kinda moot now.

Yeah looking at the graphics i thought it was something else. I meant fortitude axe. Its a multi hit axe.

Ahh, okay, that explains it a bit better.

But dude... Fortitude Axe? You gotta kill the Jailer of Fortitude to get and it is Rare/EX, lol. But I suppose you've a point for peeps who had other jobs at Endgame at the time. I believe there's a few Aht Urghan weapons that had Multi-Hits too, but I don't recall the names of them. Amoods? Something like that? *shrugs*

Ah well, like I said, point is kinda moot; I'm within 20 levels of being capped at Lv96 and a half. I'll get there easy enough. Now, Marksmanship.... eeew. I'm thinking I might have to level RNG to ever hope of getting That up, lol. It's lagging in the 280s.

That, or Corsair as Quickdraw levels it fairly quickly and due to abyssea..cards are a non issue.

Depending on how many atma you have, Abyssea would be your skill up friend, particularly with Retaliation against Mandies. If you've got the better regens, it's pretty much just AFK and whack things. Some liked to use the multi-hit atma, but that relied more on having outside support. Either way, XI skilling should be a lot easier these days by virtue of more abundant haste equipment. RC or FA is just a time waster, particularly since the latter needs stone farming on top.

Rune Chopper? Fortitude Axe?

Hell naw, THIS is what you want.

Drops off a not-total-pushover NM though, at the top of Delkfutt's Tower. Drop rate isn't great either. XD But there is a home point up there now meaning you can easily check the spawn, and the NM is often left standing. It's worth a check if you come prepared for the fight.

I've still yet to even touch Abyssea, lol.

I do want to sometime, but I was hoping to eventually find someone who can actually explain the stuff in-game because it sounds confusing. I entered the place once to start the Stone counter, but haven't had the chance to really do anything in there. I've tried reading some guides, but it seems like it is one of those things that I won't understand unless I actually do it.

But I have no linkshell, other than my personal one that is just me and family member and I never got around to shouting for groups yet and I'm not real sure on doing that since I'm a complete newbie to Abyssea and have no idea what I'm supposed to do in there, lol.

I solo'd that guy as a SMN once. Dragged him to the stairs where it was safe to resummon. Hardcore! No axe. Smiley: bah

I can't even remember why I was up there.

my thread..... derailed, but I loved reading all your stuff.

And don't get me started on ff 11 skill up grinding. Great Ax? Do you even try leveling parry with a thief?

On an uh.... on-railing note, there's been talk of an expansion, Will the level cap be raised? what will happen?

Probably safe to assume the expansion will bring a cap increase. Big question is if it'll be 5 levels or 10.

Could try to field stuff in PMs since I was basically my shell's abyssea ho. Granted, my info may need some rust shaken since it's been a couple years.

They made this much, much easier to skill now, along with shield (although if you used a high-proc-rate shield this was already pretty easy to do too)

Now even an attack that strikes you can skill these up, so long as the attack had a chance to proc the skill. Basically you just find a spot where you can arrange a bunch of decently leveled mobs (as many as you can handle, obviously) to attack you from the front, enter auto-attack mode, and skillup away.

I asked around in the other forum, and I found a new (better) guide at BGwiki, and I'm not real worried about the deaths (I never heard about the 'can't lose more than 600' rule), so.. I'll learn it! But if I come up with any questions I might toss em your way tho, thanks for offering!

That, or just fight mobs in the original areas, Lv100+ stuff (there's a few places with these) and grab your 300/kill and get a few merits while letting things beat on you while Kupipi keeps you healed lol. My Parrying is 300+ and I'm not even trying (it was way back on 210 when I started playing again) to level it at all. And I'm a Warrior (whose parry skills are only mediocre).
