I assume that'd be fine, though I haven't personally tried it.

Just killed what I can only presume to be an S ranked Elite Mark in the Spawning grounds. Differnt music (More Dramatic) once mob was engaged. AoE attacks hit for about 5k on a ilvl96 Dragoon. Had to have a party of 4 balanced people to take it down with certainty and ease.

Got 20 Allied Seals 80 Myth and 20 Sol for killing it.

It was not marked on any hunting boards.

So... yeah... loving this new hunt system.

Edit:

Correction, found the Hunter Scholar and verified it was only an A rank... boy, not sure if I'm going to enjoy taking down S ranks or not.

Just did it. You get 3 seals per kill of the Elite Mark, which you can do endlessly. And the 20 mark reward from the bills you can only collect once a week.

So essentially worthless.

Nah.

It depends on the rank of the mark you're taking on.

A unlisted A mark will give you 5, an unlisted B mark will give you 3.

You wont get your Elite mark crossed off unless you get full participation points, so no bonus if you just tag it. (Which means "wait till everyone gets here" is a load of bull, it just means everyone suffers.)

So in the end, if you spot an elite on the field, Kill it (if you can) get the easy seals, and don't get pent up on seal gathering quickly. Heck, what I want out of it... is quite expensive.

If you form a party of eight you are almost guaranteed to get credit.

Yeah 20 seal is an A rank. S Rank gives *50* seals, 100 Myth, and 30 Soldiery.

I've been dealing with gout moving into my hand so haven't been on to do anything more taxing than ST while half of my static is on vacation (so no coil either way), and haven't had a chance to fight an S but I have killed a few A and many Bs.

Hellclaws was the funniest one. Seeing the people that try to zerg it fall over dead because they can't understand the concept of "Counter Measures means stop attacking until you find out if it's physical or magical countering before engaging again" is hilarious. *All* melee dying within two globals due to thinking they don't have to pay attention is funny as hell.

Thank you Limbus Ultima!

Yep, it was pretty amazing lol. They kept rolling over dead for...so damn long I just sat back and thought:

"Man, if this was XI how fast these people would be laughed off the server."

I have wrist problems stemming from an old moving injury and I have to use a vertical mouse. Keyboard movement is just fine for me, but using the mouse for an extended period of time, even with my ergo mouse, can hurt.

My fingers tend to lock up while playing mouse/keyboard set ups and inevitably, between working at a computer all day typing, and roleplaying, my hands begin to really hurt. Using the controller for the majority of my actual gameplay helps lessen this, and feels more natural as I've been a console player my entire childhood.

Ah, the woes of aging gamers.
