Question about playing on PS4Follow

Hey there guys, here is the deal:

I have an ARR account on my PC, my wife has hers on our PS4. Can I log in to my account from her PS4? Or do I have to own the PS4 and PC versions to log in to my account? She has her copy registered to our PS4.

You were able to do this with FFXI on PS2. Not sure if things have changed.

Thanks!

**I'd try it now, but I'm not at home.

no u can not log on to your account on her ps4. in order to do so u would have to have a ps4 account version. on side note neither could she log on to her account on your pc.

They tweaked it from XI. If you purchased a 2nd PS4 code and applied it to your account, you could log into it from the PS4. Without the code on the account, though, it doesn't recognize that you have the right to access the game from PSN.

Thanks guys, yeah it didn't work..

I'm not sure if it's due to greed or just plain smart business sense, but it's a shame they've changed things. When we played WoW, we could log on from any PC in to our accounts, same with FFXI. I think this will be the 5th copy I have to buy, lol. I bought 1.0, then the CE for 2.0 for the goodies, got wrongfully banned, bought 2.0 on steam and started over, bought PS4 version for the wife, now a second PS4 copy to play 1 account on 2 platforms. Jesus.

Oh well, I really want to have it on my PS4 to craft and fish from my couch. Raiding and dungeons will still require the precision, flexibility, and fluidity of a PC set up.

Does this mean I'll have to create a second PSN ID too ?! :(

IF you buy 2 more copies (one PC for her and one PS4 for you), you will also want to make sure both of you have security tokens (you can also use the free mobile app), otherwise anytime you log into the PC version it will possibly lock you out of your account.

I already have a token on my PC account, do I need a separate one when logging on to the PS4, even if it's for my one account? Two different platform licenses, but same account.

One token/generator per account. Number/type of platforms doesn't matter.
