is there certain piece of equipment tat spiritbond certain materias? i.e if I wanted savage aim materia could I spiritbond equipment that would ONLY give me that type of meteria or is it completely random what type of equipment spiritbonds into what materia? i know certain equipment levels or ilevels determine what TIER of the materia you get but does anything determine what type of materia you get? or would I just have to spiritbond everything and hope for the best? is there maybe s link to as guide that tells you what piece of equipment to hunt down if you want specific materia?

Gear tends to convert into materia that's either associated with the stats on it or the jobs that can wear it. For instance, gear that's tailored for melee DPS can potentially convert into Quickarm (+skill speed) and not Quicktongue (+spell speed). Gear that's tailored for mages can potentially convert into Quicktongue and not Quickarm. Tank gear can convert into Battledance.

Savage Aim, Savage Might and Heavens Eye is useful for all DoW and DoM jobs, so I'm pretty sure any piece of gear that's for DoW/DoM jobs can potentially convert into Savage Aim. I don't know if Savage Aim would be limited to gear that has +crit rate natively, or if you would even have a higher chance of getting it from gear that has +crit rate.

Also, crafting gear will always convert to crafting materia, and gathering gear will always convert to gathering materia, in my experience. I've never gotten one of the junk elemental ones out of crafting or gathering gear, and I've converted a lot of them.
