Thread name says it all... what kind of FFXIV news do you think we'll hear from E3?
My bet's on an expansion announcement. Even though we already know it's coming, something formal would play well in the gaming media.

I'm hoping to hear about a thief class, as well as branching endgame content. I'd also love to hear about an expansion.

I suppose any new job will shake things up (saving my Rowena's tokens) but I am still holding on to hopes of blue mage.
I predict I will not be surprised when High hopes are dashed and my shirt also turns into peanut butter because I find myself agreeing more and more with Duo.
Still have the rest of the week in Austin but I'm more focused on my Gamefly queue for what's gonna ship next than I am excited about downloading 2.28 when I get home.
So what do I think E3 holds for 14: tome farming hard modes and primals. Bring on the blah.

I am also a raging altoholic, so the prospect of new jobs is VERY interesting for me. What I'm really hoping for though is an expansion announcement. I think we're coming up on it being time for that, and it would energize the playerbase which would not be a bad thing just now.

Well we are running out of dungeons that can be remade as hard mode, So we will see extreme mode dungeons..
Running out of primals so sooner or later they have to come up with something new.. unless they do super duper extreme mode primals...
Seriously I really do not think we will see anything not known. Rarely does anything new come out of E3 that was not leaked.I..
I am guessing they will talk about the new CT.. The new CT sounds good as long as they don't force us to do it a gazillion times.

About the only thing that I can see drawing interest as far as ARR goes is expansion and (possibly)jobs. I can't imagine that SE is that far along in expansion development, but there will probably be a few teasers. Jobs... probably just the same jobs that were teased a long time ago.
I personally think that the biggest MMO announcements are not going to come at E3, but later in the summer.

Like that's ever stopped SE from announcing something. HOW long has it been since FF15 was announced? I think it was FF13 Versus at the time.

I don't think we'll hear anything about FFXV at E3 to be honest. SE will probably put together something small for E3 on ARR and leave the meat for TGS.

Thinking they'll largely be playing it safe relative to info we've seen trickle out already, which means 2.3 stuff, new class info, and then perhaps a glimpse at Shiva. Sadly, playing it safe makes it hard to excite me. :(

This is pretty much what I'm counting on. We'll see some Ramuh and Shiva art / footage, more "hints" at Ninja, and PVP stuff.

I am doing exactly the same thing as well - my hedge when I know every other Joe and Mary will still be lotting the same weapon when they do come out, and I will have something nice to play with.

So anything else would be.......interesting isn't the word, maybe expected with the weird way he goes about the FF IP xD.
Actually, we knew this for years ("New races eventually") then recently ("First expansion"), it was made available due to all the requests then it was made as an essentially cash shop item because lots of NA/EU players said they would pay for it rather than SE's idea of making a repeatable type quest for one or charging gil.

Now, there's no need to be a party pooper even though Yoshi-P doesn't make his MMO be the way you want it to be.
Someone was saying there might be a CG trailer... if true it should be for the first expansion.
