Good God... no parties with female player characters? *blinks* That's.... got to be pretty restrictive. Surely they wouldn't apply that to Duty Finder groups, but what happens when you've a lot of females in your FC? You're supposed to tell them "I can't because I'm winning favor with Minfilia?"
Now, I realize that this is a rough draft, I'm just curious as to whether they really think that's a good idea.
Hopefully that's one particular idea that doesn't make it out of the rough draft phase. Favor system sounds awesome and all, but if it comes down to restricting who you can group with and/or requiring you to abandon things like duties, fates, etc.... eh. I dunno. It'd have to be incredibly rewarding.

I was wondering about the Garuda choice, given the nature of the Primals in the story.

This honestly sound like it would be a lot of fun, I would love to spend time with Minfillia just to see what sort of person she really is, or hang out with Kan-E-Senna and watch the daily events in Gridania.
Oh well I guess I can just hope that this April fools will gain at least some traction and appear in game in some form or another.

It would be nice to see them walking about, interacting with NPCs, acknowledging your presence. Add in a few FATEs for them to react to, attack of local beastmen or something, and you have a connection with your nations leader. I think that would be great.
The proposed system is an April Fools joke but what I am saying would be a very cleaver idea. Isn't it always fun to see celebrities among the common folk and riff-raff?

They have the 100% legit Trust system over in XI now where you can have the celebrities in your party exping with you.

One of -the- best things they did for XI, hands-down.
And not only that, but they made Trion and Kupipi (can't get Prishe yet sadly) actually act mostly intelligently, though I wish Kupipi would quit wasting MP on frivolous Erases (Evasion Down, Strength down on herself/Trion, etc).
Back to the OP, meh. I keep forgetting they are a day ahead.
