No voice-over in cutscenesFollow

I'm wondering if there is a setting button that I am missing. I haven't heard a singe voice-acting scene so far through the new story and I just unlocked Leviathan. I've looked through both the Character and System settings. I've made sure voice volume is up and that voice language is set to English. I even reset both to their defaults and restarted the client, but I still get only text. Any idea from you guys?

Dont worry your're not missing much lol. I forget their names, but the little taru guy in the scions of the seventh dawn has the absolute worst voice actor ive ever heard. Yes, worse than vanille. Only a handfull of the voice cast have good actors, while a handful more are tolerable.

As for your specific issue, im not sure. Voices should be active by default. Worst case scenario its a corrupt file and could be fixed by a reinstall. I suggest looking through all the options carefully if no one is able to give you an answer.

It's all part of the throw-back feel. They're trying to remind us of FFX!

Ya Papalymo does annoy me, but I was more interested to hear what Yugiri sounds like. Oh well, nothing youtube can't fix.

Well to answer the question, there is voice acting that you are missing. When Yugiri pleads her case to Ul'Dah, that is all voice acting. I like her voice and I would be upset if I missed that stuff. Since so much is without voice over, the little bit in the main story is a bonus for me.

I think there is a setting but I can't be sure. Hope you find it.

(in game) Hit ESC<System Config<Sound Setting: there should be a few different volume settings here for music and other sounds, check to make sure the small sound icon to the right is not clicked and/or muted (it will have a small red x on its corner).

I'vve checked all of these and made sure they were good to go. I've also tried multiple scenes with the language set to English and Adjust to client, but still nothing so far.
