Big weekend here! New patch, lots of things to do. What are your goals for this weekend?

Here are mine:

1. Beat Lost City of Amdapoor, Beat Leviathan HM, and beat Brayflox, (and Gilgamesh, thx Gnu) so I can unlock trials and expert duty roulette. Smiley: nod
2. Return 47.7% of everyone's money who donated to the FC house, since we over saved. Lamia Server, Mist, Ward 2, Plot 21. =) Beach house Smiley: cool Also, set up my office in the corner of the basement. Perhaps we will try gardening and putting some shopkeeps in there. Smiley: dubious
3. Continue to level my retainers. I have two now that are level 6, one that is level 5, and the last that is level 3. Once they get to the point where they gather the useful stuff this is going to be awesome! Smiley: grin I love equipping them and sending them off on journies. Also buying ventures is a great use for all the extra seals I will get by running the FATEs for zodiac.
4. Get at least 6/12 of the zodiac atma pieces. Right now I have 1 (Twins from west thanalan).
5. Generally run things that FC wants to run, when I get some actual time on the game. Been busy around the house lately.

My goal is to have a list of goals at least as coherent as yours lol

Still feeling a bit list with everything there is to do

But I'd like to clear the new dungeons and get a new ring this weekend. That would be kewl.

Lots to do this weekend!

>Beat Amdapor and Brayflox
>Take a bite out of the new story missions and get Levi unlocked.
>Farm T1, 2, and 4 for some loot. Get my whole FC team in there with me finally!
>Some CT with our lower ilvl members to get them pimped a little bit and collect some ***********
>Level my BRD with our newest WHM to 35 or 36> However high we can get grinding Saturday night.

We ran Halatali last night and I had such a blast I didn't wanna log off. People were going to bed and I was bugging them "Nooo, come do runs with me!!!" Smiley: lol

Between the new stuff and the oldschool relic grind quest, XIV finally feels like it has some real meat on its bones. I am ecstatic!

Goals!

1. Help decorate our new house more! I sat down and cranked out some furniture last night on the fly, based on the stuff I just carry around in my bag and things I had on retainers, but there are a crap ton of options. (Thank you Valk for taking care of all the mathetmatical aspects of the purchase.)

2. Get Artisan's spectacles. Glad I have CUL 50.

3. Unlock and clear at least one of the new dungeons.

Great work on the first floor btw! For the math, I checked the log and found what everyone contributed, then took:
1.0 - ((house cost + land cost ) / total amount donated) = X .............. For us, X = 0.477. We saved a little less than double the cost.
X * particular individual's contribution Y = Amount to return Z.

Good luck on those spectacles. Those ilvl 70 tools are going to cost an arm and a leg. I did get some potash from Lost City of Amdapoor last night, which is used to make the HQ items needed to turn in for the tools.... soooo, I'm gonna run some dungeons first.

1.) Cap 450 Soldiery Tomes.(Not spending them. I want the new Bard body next week! Not the best available upgrade for me stat-wise, but even the tiny icon looks cool.)
2.) Finish Story and Leviathan (Hard).
3.) Finish Hildebrand and Gilgamesh quest which will unlock Roulette:Trials.

In no particular order from there:
King Moogle (EX)
Leviathan (EX)

Any chance I get to get my T5 win with the FC is going to trump any activity listed above. I really, really need this to start going to T6!

Forgot about Gilgamesh for the trials unlock. Good call there.

I've got around 30,000 GC seals so I think I'm good. I'm glad I hoarded them.

One more point about getting to Bard. Bard and Dragoon was a key reason to me trying out this game. After leveling Pugilist to 15 I found Monk to be really fun to play in this game which is odd as I almost never play Monk's in any FF game. After Bard getting my first unlock I wouldn't be surprised if Monk was my second (even before Dragoon).

Well it's Mother's Day here in the UK this Sunday, so going to keep it simple:

>Unlock and complete Lost City of Amdapor
>Try to cap Soldiery
>Get a few atma if I have time

Aaaand that's it! Simple stuff, fingers crossed :-D

Beat turn 6
Get more than one atma
Beat Levi Ex
Cap soldiery
Farm turn 2/4/5 for vanity stuff and possibly gearing SMN for t6-9 where SMNs may be better than BLMs on certain fights.

I don't foresee most of this happening! :P I can tell you turn 6 was not meant to be beaten with i90 gear and i95 weapons. But we got it to 5% none the less before we called it a night since we had been raiding for 10 hours straight.

I really want to grind atmas but feel like I always need to do something else (like unlock trial roulette, unlock expert roulette, etc). Just haven't had much time to do anything till this Saturday, actually.

I can't believe I'm not seeing any turn 5 parites in PF... seems everyone is hell bent on getting atmas atm. I'd really like to just get it cleared.

Finished the main story bits. Leviathan fight was pathetically easy. Picked up 20,000 serpent seals trying to get atmas, and eventually gave up after only getting one. I won't be doing any more atma farming until the drop rate is increased. I might look into the new dungeons tomorrow, but seeing as how the rewards aren't really very rewarding, it'll only be for the experience of having done them.

You'd be surprised. After doing it today a few times for people's weapons, it really has not changed that much besides them making the arena flat. The changes to the icon size that appear above your head were made a few weeks ago.

I have also joined many PF groups for turn 1, 2, and 4 over the weekend. Considering I am still seeing people wipe to ADS in turn 1 more than once in one 'farming' run, I'd say PFing T5 (and even T4) is still a very big gamble until they implement the echo buff. The only one I was successfully able to PF was T2 and that was only due to the enrage strategy.

I wanted to go into the weekend doing dailies and dungeon roulettes each day but I had to drop the roulette due to extreme lag. From what I read on the main forums, Square is aware of the issue but until they get a fix going I'm not entering another dungeon. Having to jam on the cure button because of constant interrupts while watching people die in front of me is not fun Smiley: frown.

Instead, I focused mostly on mining and making gil. I went 49-50 on Miner, crafted a full set of gear decked out in materia, and began farming up umbral rocks about every hour. In between farming up rocks I went spiritbonding for materia with my chocobo. Managed to hit rank 7 and make a good chunk of change from the spiked demand for materia.

Well got farther than I thought.

We downed T6 and posted a guide on our forums for any of you trying it! We figured out the mechanic and decided it'd be nice to help others. The current progression groups are keeping things hush hush. Made some progress in T7...going to be very difficult, though.

No caster loot dropped, of course.

We downed Levi Ex too. I got a mirror from it but no tidal staff. :(

Capped soldiery on just Hitome and managed to get 6 atmas (better than one!).

Farmed my items I needed to switch over to SMN if need be on future turns.

Overall, very productive weekend. Need to make it up to BF next weekend and spend time with him.

Hope you all had a very good weekend and a great week to come! :)

Didn't make any of my goals because my main system is down for the count while I wait for a new PSU to get in. Hopefully tomorrow.

So I picked up the HD remake of FFX and spent most of yesterday playing that. They did a beautiful job - I had a blast.

Well I almost capped tomes.
Finished main story line.
Finished the Hildy quest line.
Beat all dungeons by early sat.
Didn't meat my goals on atmas and spent way more time on them than I wanted too.

I barely got to play, but that's okay...

I got my ilvl to 88 with the purchase of my last piece of Myth armor. (Just have one level 70 ring I need to upgrade now)

Opened up the new dungeons.

Caught up part of the way on the story line so I can eventually do Leviathan and duty-roulette again.
(I was way behind, apparently deciding to skip the story quests from 2.1 was a bad idea.)

Made my full myth set look like a full Onion Armor set using Glamours, (changed my zenith spear into a Garuda Spear also) - Looks so P.I.M.P. :)

A few more things but I can't recall everything off the top of my head right now and I need to get back to work.

Cleared all the dungeons.

Capped soldiery.

i90 WHM with my i100 Daystar ring.

Monkey Zenith thanks to converting 2k Phil --> 500 myth.

Working story (saw Levi pop out of the water).

Have to start Hildy at 2.1 as I never bothered with it last winter.

0/12 Atma after a couple hours of light farming while doing story stuff in W. La Nocsea.

Currently obsessed with clearing turn 5 and the last 3 EX primals as I hate the idea there is content I'm locked out of....though I have no idea how I'll manage it....

I also did the new Hildebrand quest, it wasn't as amusing as the first, though the Manderville Dance is just too absurd not to spam at inappropriate moments. Oddly, I found the Gilgamesh fight harder than Leviathan. Not that either was hard, it's just that Leviathan fight is just that easy.
