Was there an explanation on why Thunder is no longer a cross trait?
I guess summoner was doing to high a DPS. I don't like it either although I thought summoner was in a good spot and was rather surprised when I saw that.
as far as I know, no explanation was given as to why they removed it, at least according to the patch notes.

They replaced it with blizzard 2
I noticed blizzard II yesterday, but I'm not convinced that was an equal or better trade. Am I missing something?
Nope, that's it. No more thunder, now we have blizzard II. That is all.
Blizzard II is handy for groups of 3+. Does more damage than Ruin on a single target would do, and gives people a reason to use Miasma II since they're so close.
Still miss thunder, though.

Ok, thanks. I'm still relatively new, so I wanted to make sure that I wasn't overlooking a usage.
As someone who leveled blm to 50, then waited until just now to get my arcanist to 30, until you unlock Bane, the addition of Blizzard II presents the Arcanist with the only aoe he/she has available until level 30. Helps out a lot with early level FATEs where 30 people are mobbed in on the enemies. I welcome the change, but then again I never really used thunder 1 much, even as a blm.
