need exp confirmationFollow

lets say Im lvl 9 and kill a mo b solo that gives me 200exp. Now im lvl 18 and party up with a level 9 and kill that same mob again. The level 9 in the party would get the same exp I got (200) when i was their level with no exp penalty despite me being 9 level higher and completely obliterating the now low level (im comparison to me) mob?

Don't you sync down to the lowest party member's level when you party up?
I've never tried it out but I thought that was the case.

I know when I was in the Shroud killing Banemites, there was a level 35 NPC near the bridge. I was a level 22 Gladiator. I could provoke the Banemite, (claiming it) then occasionally the level 35 guard NPC would run up and basically two shot the Banemite, and I got full EXP and drops. I wonder if the same occurs if a low level player claims a monster and a higher level player kills it? I know the one initially claiming the mob in normal circumstances always gets reward, and people joining have to do what... 25-33% to get credit as well? Curious what happens when the difference in level is great...

But what about if you are not partied? What if you are level 5, claim a level 8 monster, and have a level 15 kill it?
