Simple fix really, they should apply the reduced fee to anybody who bought the game at release. Everybody wins.
While i'm biased, as I pre-ordered the game before launch, I still think this is more fair to everyone involved. The fact that the game wasn't playable was SE's fault, not mine. Rewarding people for sticking around despite that is commendable. Making people pay more for making a good financial decision isn't going to endear them to your payment scheme, no matter how you phrase it.
Again, in game items would have been an ideal way of doing this. I also would have been cool with, say, giving players who stuck with the game a proportionate number of months of free service. That would be fair, and also reward them for sticking it out. I'm not as torqued about this as I was when I entered the thread, because I didn't know when the 2.0 beta started, so I had no idea that I could still hit the 90 period mark.
Still, my initial thought, believing I had missed the time period for entry to the campaign, was "do you guys seriously not want my money?"
I'm sure not everyone's going to have that reaction when entry is no longer open, but I'm sure a lot of people will.

So one of the big downsides of playing PUP, and why almost everyone hates them, is that they all display the wounds of Christ?

the curse of good DD's is they tend to have less Defense, meaning they get high for more.
