As I was looking at the big panoramic painting on the teaser page, I noticed on the way left a small class with horns.
Could it be the Gria from Tactics Advance 2? Just a thought. I didn't see wings... but they could be folded.

I believe it IS a gria. My problem with that wonderful artwork is that EVERYONE else is a KNOWN race and they're ALL talking and INTERACTING with one another. The lone Gria on the other hand is just staring at the viewer like the ring girl or something 0_0.
Not only did SE just copy and paste him/her there, there's only ONE of them. I hate that SE can't just tell us important stuff like that instead of leaving it up to guess. Even in the interview IDIOTIC questions were asked which had no real insight to the game other then the transfer thing and several others. Most of their responses were... "This is what we hope for" "This is what we expect to do".
Sheesh!!! 5 years making a game and you don't even know what it's going to be like?! >_< Why can't you just talk like a normal person, DUMBLEDORE?! HUH?!!!!

Lol he means there's already been threads on this and it's already been drawn to everyone's attention. No worries. I think everything in the logo and artwork has pretty much been debunked. We need new things to interpret.

Leaving things up for speculation is good marketing.
It keeps the community talking and coming up with ideas about the game.
Square Enix can release bits and pieces of information when the hype dies down to get people talking again.
Things like adding the little Gria-like character and saying that the Final Fantasy XIV logo symbolizes something are ways to keep people talking and exchanging their ideas.

Calm down. Everything will be alright. You'll find out eventually. SE isn't going to just release all information of a game that was just announced and is still in development.
