Folks,

As part of our ongoing effort to tweak Warhammer Online based on player play patterns, we are making some adjustments to the rate and manner of experience gain in certain parts of the game. We continually analyze the data from our in-game metrics tool and as a result, we have made some changes to WAR. These changes will ensure that you will see a noticeable improvement to the rate at which you gain experience in tiers 3 and 4.

We are currently in the planning stages for our next phase of experience enhancements, so expect more on this subject soon. In the meantime, we know these adjustments will make for an enhanced game experience in the later tiers as well as providing additional incentive for people to engage in open RvR action. Again, please keep in mind that these changes are only the first step and we have some additional changes/improvements to open RvR that we can talk about next week.

Quest Experience Rewards
• We have revised the experience awarded for completing quests in chapters 10 through 22.

New Repeatable Quests
• We have added new repeatable PvE quests to all tier 3 chapters (chapters 10 through 14).
• The new quests offered in chapters 10 and 11 may be completed twice each.
• The new quests offered in chapters 12 and 13 may be completed three times each.
• The new quests offered in chapter 14 may be completed four times each.

Skirmish RvR Experience
• The experience earned for killing an enemy player in an RvR lake will be increased by +50%.

Again, this is only the first step, there will be more next week. Also, please keep in mind that on the lower pop servers, leveling time was slower do to the less frequent popping of scenarios and open RvR. These changes will help alleviate that and make it easier on the high pop servers as well so people on those servers, enjoy the bonus!

As I've said from the beginning, we have great tools in place to measure this stuff but it does take time to go through all the data. We will not overreact as we have done in the past but nor will we wait forever before taking action. I hope the steps we've taken today and those we will continue to take over the lifetime of WAR will show our dedication to making this game a fun and enjoyable experience for everybody.

I really didn't notice it but I guess a lot of people had problems in Tier 3.

I think what they are trying to do is make the game more about pvp and less about the grind to the top. Either way i can't say i dislike this change. it also makes the game alot easier to alt your way through

yes, this seems a very alt-friendly change, in addition to helping more people get to the cap quicker (where most, if not all of the fun is).

Hmm doing quest and grinding Inf gets you the better gear. I was trying to grind each chapter in each area and the quest too. I started this at chapter 12 but by the time I got to chapter 16 doing this I surpassed the Rank for the gear I could get from quest and Influence rewards. I actually tried to slow down xping by not doing as much scenarios, it was hard not to Q up but I managed not to Q up half the time I wanted to. First game I actually feel like I need to slow down because It doesn't feel like it takes forever to Rank up. The people that made this happen are real lazy, I mean if it was because of people complaining that is.

RvR gear sux when ever I went to the renown seller the gear I had on was better. That is why at chap 12 I started going to all the areas as I stated above. It is odd that the PvE gear is better because they said the RvR gear was suppose to be better then the PvE stuff in this game. I guess what they ment to say was the Rank 40 RvR gear was gonna be better cause there will be no PvE gear to compete with.

I'm rank 32 I started on Sept 16th, I have played everyday since except the past 3 days. I could have been at Rank 40 a week ago or maybe a lil sooner but like I said I slowed down. I saw people at Rank 40 even before when I said I could have gotten to it. I hope this doesn't make it go too much faster.

I was planning on being at Rank 40 late next week, I guess Maybe now it will be in a few days or maybe now I'll have to stick just to one area to do quest and chapters. So much for trying to get the better gear while ranking up.

They need to beef up the renown gear to be better then the PvE stuff. I would have just did scenario after scenario if it was better. That was my plan from day one untill I figured out the difference in gear.

With them doing this xp buff stuff and more to come, when someone goes and buys the game they might as well say here ya go here is your voucher for your rank 40 toon thankyou for purchasing WAR.

I don't think I like this. At R26 I find it takes me about 4 hours to level up doing a mix of questing and taking any scenario pops. I usually get 2 scenarios an hour on a good night, and tend to make about 700 reknown on each one of those. As it is I'm only RR 17. How the **** am I supposed to catch up on my RR if they make the exp flow even MORE freely?

Some of you may not be aware of all the complaining on other forums at how much slow tier 3 and 4 get. Players report doing ALL of the quests in all the 3 tier zones and still having to grind away to level up. Obviously, if they did scenarios all the time, it might not be an issue, but not everyone should have to level/grind the same way. For those that just want to pve/quest to level, these changes are fine. And anything that promotes more world rvr is a good thing. scenario grinding shouldn't be the end all be all.

Hey I can understand where ya coming from. I would just like to say whoever is doing the complaining in other forums must be mistaking this game as a PvE inspired game. From all the pod cast I watched through out development and to how they were promoting it, to me it seems the PvE aspect is just there to keep everyone happy and is there to throw some lore to the game. Don't get me wrong how boring would a game be without a way to learn some back story via questing.

This game was inspired for RvR. what are the people who aren't doing scenarios while questing gonna do in end game when all it is about is RvR? Are they gonna go complain they need some end game PvE content? Maybe when they get done doing a set of quest in each area and it's too soon to move to the next area, why not get some RvR practice in instead of PvE grinding? Instead of whining to Mythic it takes too long to level in tier 3 and 4.

I dinged 33 last night I'm half way through it allready From questing in Dwarf/Greenskin land chapter 17 and from doing scenarios. Took about 2 hours. I still have to go to the other two areas chapter 17s to do them. I'll probably hit up hume lands and hit 34 while halfway through it. I might have to stick with one area like I stated in my earlier post. I'm gonna go give the other chapter 17s a shot before I abandon doing all 3 areas chapters to see where I'm at xp wise before going ahead in staying in one area the rest of the way to 40.

Atleast I know I wont be a let down for my teamates when end game comes with all the RvR practice I'm doing now.

This is just a tip because I have noticed some people don't understand the difference between RvR and PvP and I mention RvR alot so I figure I would expllain it to those who still are confused.

PvP is Player vs Player a game that represents this build their careers around 1 on 1 encounters.
RvR is Realm vs Realm, or for a clearer picture Realm Order vs Realm Destruction. This represents building careers that work together to battle another group that also has careers built to work together. It's like having Order as one machine with many different parts that have to come together to function properly, same goes for Destruction.

For those who Remember Voltron you might see and understand what I'm saying. Or how about Transformers I know there is a newer series out there these days for it so you may have seen it. It's like when the Transformers come together and make 1 huge robot. Each smaller robot performs a specific function that makes the formed robot flow as 1.

I've heard the same thing about Tier 3+ slowing down big time, at least in part due to the population curve not being there.

I was surprised when I finally got to see the tier 2 renown gear and it was stuff like req. rank 19, renown 12. I'm okay with that set existing as is, but the tier 2 vendors should also have a 2nd set that is 20/19 to benefit those of us that keep our renown up with our rank (if this does exist and I have just missed it please disregard the comment). It's not like PVE greens from a few levels above won't be better anyways.

The thing is, it seems that talisman slots are only abundant on the renown gear. A guildie of mine is starting to make decent talismans so I could see forgoing stats of lesser importance a bit to be able to drop on 4-5 +wounds talismans for example.

Well, from my experience, it isn't really 'needed' no.

I level in pair with Baelnic here, and we basically Q for Scenario and go out and grind pq.

We're gaining xp faster then we're gaining Influence, as we pass each pq's 'level sweet spot' before we can get the Elite Reward for every chapter. So every 3 level we scout all the chapter, figure out which two we want to do, do them, and then move on to the next chapter.

It's not 'fast' in the sense that at this rate, we'll probably be in December when we reach level 40 Smiley: lol, but we're certainly not 'running out of stuff to do'. ****, we're abandoning quests left and right in fact...

Same here, just made 25 last night. It's slowing down - but there's more to do then I can accomplish since I'm supposed to be focused on leveling! ;o
