Warhammer online broke my computer!!! (temporarilly anyways)Follow

Hey guys,

Hehe so here i am sitting on my comp, boot up Warhammer Online, alt tab so it can do its loading thing and i read these forums.

Alt tab back in and see my character there, no problems, click to play and i am logging in.

Where i logged out was near some mobs and so this is where i logged back in from.

Well you know how when you bring up the map or something like that and are attacked your screen will flash red to let you know you taking damage.

well this happened on the loading screen although instead of phasing out, it persisted in staying red.

game loaded and there was my character getting attacked (no real problem) although my screen was RED!!!

Hehe it stayed completely red no matter what i did.

Ok i though lets log out and reboot the game to fix, no problem i thought.

i chose to log out of the game and the game closes bringing me back to windows.

OMG MY WINDOWS IS RED TOO!!!

hehehe so here i am and my monitor is showing my wallpaper and windows and such but it is all red from the game! lol

ok lets reboot the system too then i thought...

WRONG, now my system does not play any video at all, lol

had to remove the power cable from my system and sit there for a minute or two before plugging it back in.

after that back to normal.

hehehe i have no idea how warhammer onlines red warning your being attacked works this way but yeah.

try not to alt tab out of the game when your loading it and know your going to be attacked upon logging in.

As Jordster suggested, try updating all of your drivers for your system, especially the graphics drivers. Whenever you alt-tab out of the game it uses the drivers for some serious switching on multiple levels. Anything that goes wrong there is almost always a driver issue. Be sure .net, directx, graphics, sound, motherboard chipset drivers and others are fully updated.

Let us know if that resolves the problem!
