Ok been checking Warhammer webiste for the past 2 hours watching podcasts and youtube videos and it looks AMAZING. But wait....cry....i own a Mac, so just wondering if anyone has heard much about a Mac release of WAR. Also i noticed all PC specs were 2.4GHz or around that, if they did release it on a mac is it possible it would be lower (i don't know much about computers) because my mac is 2GHz :(...

I envy all of you, looks like a sweet game. Dwarf Engineer FTW :p

Pretty much no. They've said they want to, but the Mac market share just isn't there for them right now.

On top of this i just read the following:

Q: What are your plans for European distribution?

A: Some of our most rabid... er, important and vocal... Warhammer Online players live in Europe and around the world, and we want to make sure we treat them right. We have plans in the works, and details are being finalized as we speak. Keep an eye out for future newsletters.

Q: Will there be a Mac/other platform version?

A: I never say never - but we will only launch WAR on the PC.

Not only do i use a Mac but i live in europe......stuck between a rock and a hard place on this one.

Back to Alterac Valley for me *slits wrist*

Any Mac made in the past almost 2 years has an Intel processor and can be run as a PC.

If your computer is more than 2 years old, it wouldn't work well if it was PC, so even if there was a Mac version, your computer would be too slow to run it well :P

So, if your Mac is new, install BootCamp (free from Apple), install Windows XP or Vista, and voila. If your Mac is old, get a new one.

I use bootcamp and windows xp on my work Mac... games run just fine... I mean, you aren't going to be able to play Crysis on the highest settings, but if you have a newer Mac you'll be able to run Warhammer with the best settings.

What kind of Mac is it?

iMac? MacBook? Mini?

You can probably run it on minimum, but it won't be pretty :(
