Sunday, Sept. 14th? register then? just getting it all straight, since useless to play toons since will be adios soon.

Do like the open quests and the BG. The BG reminds me of Wow and the Alliance against the Horde and love all the quests I am getting as Core.

I pre-ordered mine with Best Buy. They say I can pick it up on the 17th. Which semi-sucks, if those that pre-ordered can technically play on the 16th, effectivley making me wait an extra day. I work during the week, so I won't have many hours to play, but still.. it semi-sucks.

Where are you seeing the time updates?

Yes. There are keys from your copy of the game that will be needed to authenticate your head start progress to live or so I've heard. Essentially it's to verify you've finally paid for the since we'll be able to play in headstart without having paid in full for our copies and keys of the game.

Of course, I pre-ordered from Gamestop, so I don't know how D2D is handling the authentication.

Magilsoro, This is what I would do if I were you. Since Best Buy gave you Jack Sh*t I would see if you could get a refund. if they say no, press them on the issue considering they gave you no codes to experience open beta and your only getting half a headstart wich isnt why you decided to pre order.

If they give you a refund then go to either Amazon.com, EAStore.com, Direct2Drive or GameStop.com. you will recieve your code imediately via email. Direct2drive.com is apart of gamespy, file planet ect.. so this is the easiest way becdause you can dowload from thier site without going to file planet. I know it's too late for open Beta but atleast you would have your headstart code when your suppose to.

If you end up getting no refund I would contact mythic and tell them how unpleased you are with Best Buy because they ended up being the Worst Buy!

I was looking at WARs website and I do see that walmart pre orders didn't get open beta or head start but nothing about Best Buy having limitations. Unless I over looked it. Good Luck!

Speaking of gamestop.com, I pre-ordered through them but haven't received my head start codes from them. Only thing I've gotten has been my open beta access codes. I figure I'll call them today or Monday and see what the deal is.

Edit: So I just checked back through my emails for a second time and it turns out I'm blind as a bat that has need of thick Coke bottle glasses.

They bumped up the time to 12pm eastern. Less than an hour to get your fix.

So after thinking about it for a few minutes, I'd like to say that I hate every one of you who are going to be playing today.

Yes. You should have been able to do this when you created your WAR login.

I did my order through Direct2Drive online and got both codes within 15 minutes. If you preorder through Gamestop website you might still get it quicker.

As I understood it, the limited amount of codes was for Open Beta. Head Start should be applicable to all pre-orders, but since you didn't get any codes from the store I'm guessing you're SOL until you get your box on the 18th :(

Best Buy stops giving codes for pre-order bonuses about one or two weeks before release, which is why I never pre-order from them, so to whomever didn't get the codes from them, you're not going to this late in the game.

Doh, all this last minute rushing to be screwed out of beta... haha. No worries, was just hoping to play a bit before my official character creation... Back to... Castle Crashers??? :)

OK. so i had ordered from gamestop a couple days ago, they told me no more codes, and bestbuy was advertising that codes stopped being handed out on the 1st. but i just got my beta code and game key in my email. added them to my account but i can't do anything. I knew i wouldnt be able to log on since only reguar preorder. but i figured id get the patches and stuff out of the way. any suggestions? Is there maybe a different download then the one from the open beta?

No. You won't be able to patch until you can log in on tuesday.

I preordered from my favourite Brick and Mortar Gamestop store. The guy there hooked me up with two regular preorder boxes. They were sold out of Collector's Editions.

I received a placeholder box containing a paper with the head start code.
I was able to use this to get set up and access the preview weekends and the open beta.
I'm assuming I should be able to access the Tuesday Head Start with no problem.

The game is running much more choppy than at launch. The server my clan was supposed to play at has a 171 queue, so I went on a new NA core server called Brittania. I am NOT impressed by the instability and server caps.

I called Best Buy, once they pulled up what my order was, it was like , Oh, Warhammer.. right, yeah here's the deal.." and it was an automatic speach at that point. The state, pre-order codes they have are not working. They advise me to just "wait" until the game is launched. But, I don't want to wait.. I want what was offered through ordering this game. Mystic offered this, they say Best Buy will support what they offered, Best Buy says they can't give me what was offered, therefore it's got to fall on Mystic to make it right, right?

What kind of internet connection do you have? Also, have you got the latest video drivers? I don't know about vista, but this game runs ok for me on XP.

Still some issues with compatible vid cards it seems.

I have the same problem.

I did a defrag, added more memory, reseated my video card, checked my fans and reinstalled drivers. Then I reinstalled older drivers (hey, it worked with DAoC city lag), then the newer drivers again.

It's playable...barely. Especially in scenarios. I have video options set to fastest framerate and spell effects set to self only, but I've got a good rig that runs everything else just fine, and I easily beat ALL the recommended specs.

Makes me sad, but I know they'll fix it....eventually.

It won't annoy loyal players at all. The other guys though may wait a bit before trying. But let's be honest, that's true of all games, from UO to WoW.
