I've rolled a few toons. On each I've done different professions just go check them out. So far the only one I can figure out is Cultivation.

It's really simple:
-Put seed in upper left box.
-timer for soil use *put in a soil*
-timer for water can use *put in a water can*
-and finally timer for nutrient *put in some sort of nutrient*

All of which I managed to get from the vendor (seeds however you get like wildfire from mobs)

Now the main crafting professions confuse the heck out of me. Is there a list or guide out already for them? Maybe I'm spoiled by WoW, but when I click on Alchemy my list of items I can synth pops up, then it tells me what materials I'll need to make each.

Thanks for any help on this one. I also thought I read that only alchemy is available during beta?

Answer: Guess.
Throw stuff together and write down the results.

I have tried alchemy with scavenging and um...salvaging with talisman making. I haven't picked up enough items to make any talisman stuff with yet, but I did make a couple random potions. Kinda cool. I think it'll be a matter of writing down what works and what you usually get and posting the lists.

I did some Apothecary during the first PW. It is not hard.

1. Open the Apothecary container.
2. Insert anything labeled "Main Ingredient". Each MI will say what it's primary effect is, such as Healing or AP Replenishment.
3. Fill in the other 3 slots with any liquid and/or optional ingredient. Some herbs will extend duration, some will increase potency. As you add each one you will see a Chance of Success change. Switch stuff around until you get a green message.
4. Hit the Combine button!

Out pops a potion.

You don't even have to fill all the slots.
I left one slot empty and took my chances with a Volatile potion.
