Finally some information. I was a bit surprised to find that players cannot produce equipment, but I believe it's part of their plan to eliminate grinding junk items.

Edit: fixed link.

Just got this email from honey

Quote:
….

Scavaging rights are given to the group or player who killed him..
Eventually, after time, rights are opened to everyone…

It just made me happy is all.

Made me laugh. The WAR design team is DEFINITELY approaching their balance from the right direction in any and all respects!! I'm SO excited, but scared that I'll be let down.

OH PLEASE MYTHIC, don't let me be let down.

looks awesome, wonder how long itl be till teh wow noobs scream ripoff though, since you can make potions! butcher animals and break down items!

EDIT: on another note, almost sounds like a nice blend of Eq/EQ2/WoW style crafting, and SWG style crafting, with some extra stuff tossed in.

too bad the link is no longer valid. I probably needed to look at that as I have yet to do any crafting info in the templates. :(

Any way to reduce the grind is welcomed in my book. And yes, that is what it appears to be like in-game. I can't really say more at this time on the forums :(.

I combined Scavenging and Apothecary. They've been working quite well together.

I seem to be getting a fairly equal amount of items for each of the tradeskills from my scavenging. It's also nice to get that extra loot to sell.

Apothecary is proving to be quite fun. I never really know what I am going to end up making. You have to put in some form of container, then add a main ingredient and then any other regular ingredients. Every combination makes something different.

Main ingredients will normally list what type of potion they will turn into, ie spiritual resist, elemental resist, health etc...

It's a pretty interesting system and the things I'm making just get more interesting.

I did the same thing as Screenpod did, and it worked out great. I had tons of potions for the weekend.

The link above isn't working for me (page unavailable, etc.), but is there someplace I can look up what tradeskills are going to be available and how many we can have?
