I have recently returned to the game for some variety over World of Warcraft.
I will probably start a few characters on the Classic servers. I was wondering how long it might take me in game time to grind level to 50 on a Mercenary.
Any idea? 10 days game time ?

If you know what you are doing, 10 days game time would actually be quite slow. Now if you are starting completely fresh, without knowing all the tricks, it may take you a few days, but even for a total newb, if you do not stop in bg's to have some fun on way up, 10 days would be slow.
Downtime is minimal now with endo and health regen rates increased.
At level 40, there are some repeatable quests that give incredible experience. Going from 40-50 used to be such a drag, but now, you can do that in 10-20 hours if you want by running these quests.

Yeah I recall how slow it was to level past 40. Probably one of the reasons I left the game for Wow in the first place.
Anyways ... good to see the speed at which I can level in this game.
