I need someones help and I dont know where else to go but here. I am borrowing my friends copy of the game, I have downloaded the Epid Edition and I am on a 14 day free trial, for now anyway. I got it and every time I try to play it comes up with an error saying error saying Renderer Creation Failed! What does that mean and how can I fix it? I dont understand because I can play World of Warcraft, The Matrix Online, Star Wars, HALF-LIFE 2! I dont get it, so please help me out!
I have windows XP

I have heard a lot of people with this problem. I'm sure the technical support can help you. They are pretty good.
Here is a link to a form you can fill out. There is a 1-800 number also, but I couldn't find it (I think it shows when you go to the billing screen on load-up, but I am at work now, so can't check, and you might not be able to get that far before crashing).

Yeah, you need to update your video card drivers!

TOO Reinstal direct x 9
1. Download the new driver and save it on your Desktop or somewhere that you can find it
2. Download Driver Cleaner here: http://www.drivercleaner.net/
3. Download DirectX here: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/di...default.htm
4. Go to Control Panel and use Add/Remove Programs to remove the current video driver
5. Reboot and CANCEL when the machine wants to install a driver for your video card
6. Run Driver Cleaner (read the directions)
7. Reboot and CANCEL when the machine wants to install a driver for your video card
8. Manually run the install for the new driver you downloaded
9. Reboot and let the machine do it's thing and auto-install the new driver
10. Install DirectX
