I am currently downloading the DAoC Trial and I'm considering registering fully with all the expansions and whatnot.
Now I'm mainly an RP'er and I was wondering how strong is the RP community in DAoC is...
It looks like a great MMO to RP in.

I've very recently returned to the game after a veeeery long absence (pre-expansions) and started off on Guinevere as a Mid since I like RP atmospheres as well. The closest I ever came to seeing RP was an argument in the newbie-guild chat about it being a roleplaying server (some AOL chat kiddy had gotten loose in there). Entirely OOC.
I went to Gareth (Classic) after that.

Three main RP servers.
While there is less of the l33t speak on the servers, in order to enjoy a high level of RP you will have to research the various RP specific guilds and alliances within each realm.
Some guilds are more RP specific than others.

I have been here since the beginning....and generally a good bunch of people...all kinds from kids to older people, but in here it doesnt matter.
But once in a while, like anywhere you get an idiot who doesnt have manners or is rude....so you do the /ignore thing.
After a while you get to know the good ones from the bad ones.
I started a new toon the other day and was in Thid for the first time in a long time and I asked someone if I join their group only to be told...What do you want, cant youre see I busy?
Now thats not good..but you put up with it.
Have fun...its a game.

Well it depends on who you meet but as stated before the Role Play servers are Guinevere, Nimue and Percival. Depending upon the realm you choose there are a few 'guilds' and even alliances that are strictly role play. Of course though there is always an exception to every rule, but on these servers you will find less 'dood' 'pwnage' and what ever that other stuff is l337 or something like that.
If you decide to head to Albion-Guin or any in the cluster, look up Cleowyn-g and I might be able to point you out to a few places if you like *nods*
