How dos this game play?Follow

I got the boxed set of DAoC, played it, canceled, and am now thinking of going back. But how does this game play in comparison to FFXI and WoW? Im not asking about solo content, etc. I want to know how the camping in this game works (Since I am to understand that is how you level, much like FFXI). Do we get experience from quests? I know that the best way to go is to make a character on a classic server... Is there an imbalance in the realms? More Camelot then Midgard, etc.

Any other info would be greatly appreciated!

I havent played FFXI or WoW. you can level by quests which come in real handy everyonce in awhile and very handy in the begining. Also as long as you earn a level you can get a free level every 3-7 days. you just have to check the population bonus for the realm and server you plan on rolling your toon on to see the bonus.

The thing that will keep me from going to any other game is the RvR. The end game that you get from daoc is awesome. theirs always stuff to do like artifact raids master levels champion levels and taking castles and relics. The way the PvP is offered in this game surpasses any other in my opinion. Dont be to set on only way to go is classic server. the others offer good ways to go as well. Many people just dont like to do the master levels and feel some of the gear is overpowered but you can always go get that gear yourself. But then again i never really gave the classic servers a try only got a level 9 cleric over there.

Good luck.
