Hi I just downloaded the trial and wanted to try DAOC. I am sick of WOW and EQ2 is horrible.
My question is, what server should I choose when creating a new character. I want to get on a populated server with players willing to help lower level players out that need to learn the game?

I would mostly definitly recommend the classic servers. Lamorik & Gareth are very good choices since the /level doesn't work there and there is plenty of low-level toons so, lots of help there.
Btw, I too quit EQ2 to come to DAoC and can assure you DAoC is 100 times better than EQ2. You'll like the game. :)

Where do you DL the trial? Kind of miss playing it since before the expansion came out.

I'd also strongly recommend a new player to start on one of the Classic servers.
Gareth and Lamorak and Ector.
You will have a much easier time getting groups at low levels since there is no /level on these servers so even old-time players have to create new characters at level 1 and manually level them to 50.
Also, there is no TOA on these servers. The TOA expansion made extrememly hard for new and casual players to compete with the Power-Gamers.

O' how I miss DAoC sometimes... All players in DAoC are nice! A huge difference from WoW -_-

Quick question, are any of those 3 classic servers Coop rules, or if I play on them will I have to got RvR?
And being inm Australia, I am assuming I'm going to have a lot of trouble finding players on at that same time as me.
