Alright, I'm quitting WoW very soon and buying DAoC. I have a couple questions about the game..
1. What expansions should I buy? I know that I have to buy the main DAoC, but there's like 5 expansions.
2. Can you buy a mount? If so, do Paladins get a free mount like in WoW?
3. I'm going to be a Paladin most likley, and I want to know if a lot of people play them, overpowered, underpowered, or what..
4. I've noticed that a lot of people on these forums have more then just one 50, is it easy to level up to level 50? Is it as easy as WoW? Hard?
5. Is there a lot of instances like there is in WoW? Do rare items drop off the bosses?

You need:
DAoC, Shrouded Isles
I strongly Suggest:
Trials of Atlantis and Catacombs
Get the platinum version (19.99) this gives: DAoC, Shrouded Isles, and ToA
Then spend another 19.99 on catacombs, trust me its worth it
2. Can you buy a mount? If so, do Paladins get a free mount like in WoW?
Mounts are not available yet but will be next expansion (Darkness Rising). I don't believe you can buy them, they will be quest rewards
3. I'm going to be a Paladin most likley, and I want to know if a lot of people play them, overpowered, underpowered, or what..
Paladins are a solid tank class with good utility, just don't expect to kill very much as their damage output is on the low end. Also, being a paladin will force you into the Albion realm, which is fine but you may want alts of other classes as well. I'd look at all the classes available and then decide.
4. I've noticed that a lot of people on these forums have more then just one 50, is it easy to level up to level 50? Is it as easy as WoW? Hard?
Depends on you, the class you choose, how many accounts you run at once, whether or not you have the catacombs expansion, and what guild you join.
The fastest I've seen is about 3 weeks, it personally took me about 2 months of playing to get a 50 (My actual playtime was 6.6 days or 158.4 hours running a chanter + mentalist duo).
5. Is there a lot of instances like there is in WoW? Do rare items drop off the bosses?
There are instances in the catacombs expansion and no where else.
Bosses do drop great rare items.
