A friend and I are going to start playing DAoC. We recently quit
WoW and he stopped playing star wars, I was just wondering what some of you guys thought were the highpoints or best parts of DAoC. WoW had the terrific gameplay and looks to it, but im not familiar with this one so for you guys who have played a while what do you like about DAoC? Thanks in advance.

Most people say the major draw to DAoC is the realm vs. realm combat. No other game really matches the battles between the three realms, especially not WoW.
That said, DAoC has improved a lot in the past year or so in terms of player vs. mob content. The old criticism that DAoC was a major grind has been largely fixed with the Catacombs expansion. If you want to level super face, it's still not the best game, especially if you're soloing. But it's much improved.

Also, while not as pretty as wow, the graphics are extremely good after the catacombs expansion.

I suggest these as many of the other videos are under the old Trials of Atlantis graphics engine. Although any video made by "Mystr Byrnz" is also excellent even though they are under the old engine.
