since he's a lvl 60 mob i would say a well balanced group could take him down fairly easy. or you could try 2 pally's guarding eachother and 2 clerics... that would prolly do the trick :) or you could do it the old fashioned way and get your guild together and zerg him with mass numbers :P i do hear he's pretty tuff tho... maybe i'll go try to kill him with my 50 infi and 50 cleric... see what happens

This sounds funny, but he has like an insta kill that procs a LOT!! You need a lot of people to take him down. He is a humbling experience after a raid to kill all the Llyn Barfog bosses. My advice? Bring at least 20, maybe more.

2 Groups balanced out, reason for this is that he teleports himself from spot to spot and you need a group at each spot...so you can whale on him...if not he will heal himself

A couple months ago we took on this challenge with success. We started out with 2 groups and after we found a certain groove he was fairly simple, but still time consuming. Took us a good while to get him down to 40% with the 2 groups we had, and when another 4-5 people showed up he seemed to drop the last chunks in a matter of minutes.

He does port around and heal as reported. There is no way to stop the porting, but we seemed to find a way to limit his heals. He had a tendancy to heal as/after he ported, which he did near/into a group of the tree mobs. We had a minstrel running around the area disposing of all the trees she could and it seemed to stop his obsurd healing ability. You will want to make sure you have alert tanks for the fight. When he ports, he takes off running in 1 direction, then repops in another. There's no sence to chasing him around when he runs away, just unstick and /face him to enter combat sooner.

I don't know if he's zergable because of all the porting but its always worth a try. He's definately not your typical lvl 60 mob and the drops are basically crap. Kinda like Xanicar, only the remains are worth getting which even those aren't too extroidinary, but you'd have the bragging rights.

I'd say to give the Monster Rez a shot.
Get a couple Necros (for powertap) and a coupel Heretics together, then find some willing sacrifices.

Get a Necro and a Heretic in each location, and get your sacrifices going on him. As they fall, have the Heretic Monster Rez them.
Have the Necro keep refilling the Heretics power.
Keep the Heretics out of combat as much as possible so that they can use MCL as it comes up.
Whichever group isn't fighting him just med so that when he ports you're FP and ready to rock.

Might not exactly be fast, but in PvE that Monster Rez is incredible. If you can keep 2 Monsters on him most of the time he should fall down pretty damn fast. As a side benefit, the PBOAE effect of the Monsters oughta keep the tree population down too.
