Where are you going LD? Is it in busy cities, on raids, zoning or rvr? Are you dial up?

I'm on a cable modem over a wireless network. I go LD any and everyplace. I was able to hardwire the system and the LD problem went away so it's definetly related to the wireless network. I'm working on getting a permanent hardwire connection set up. I'd still like to figure out what about the wirless connection is the problem... I have good signal strength, 5 out of 5.

Could be your router, could be your wireless pc card. If its not your signal strength its most likely your card.

I had exactly the same problem and so i asked my mate and he told me either to ping a gateway or while u are playing the game press ALT and shift then when ur back to the start up page with the game still running press CTRL ALT DELETE at the same time click on processes or to the screen were u can see what programs are running then right click on the GAME.EXE and were it says (PRIORITY) put on low. Hope this helps

I had this problem until I set my NIC to 10-base-T (Half duplex). The details are in KB Article 345, and it works like a charm.

Keep the router's firmware up to date as well. I had the same problem in Starwars Galaxies, update my router's firmware, and going LD stopped immediately after that.

Gave up on the wireless connection...now hardwired to the router. Have all the latest firmware for the router, set NIC to 10 1/2duplex, set priorty of game.dll to low, gave firewall all premissions it wanted and still going LD about once every hour to hour and a half. :(

What are your system specs. Ram, CPU, Vido card. Those all have an effect on going LD. What OS also. Basically, if you dont have much in the way of ram and cpu power your system eventually runs out of spacce and the processor takes longer and longer to process the command to send the data to the server and to recognize it receit, as you eventually run out of ram to store the backed up que and data objects that need to be stored in memory. Therefore the client is no longer receivving messages from the server and you have gone LD. I have XP Pro, 512 DDR, Athlon XP 1700 @ 1.4 Ghz and an FX5200 and run CATA client. I tend to go LD every few hours in a battle group because the number of people and data that needs to get processed builds up.
