It depends on three things.
Firstly Highlanders are Stronger and have more constitution so they do more damage and last longer in fights. However, Briton's are quicker and more dexterous. Finally...I think Briton's look cooler...My Briton Paly has a very cool face :-P

go for briton, highlanders sucks on their kilt and you can get extra con/str with armor stats.
