Hello AguyonFairy,

Your reward for completing all 3 Promyvions (Dem, Holla, Mea) will be access to the "Chains of Promathia" expansion areas. You will be able to access the new towns, mobs, quests, equipment, etc. I hope that helped.

Have a great day!

I recently completed Promyvion Dem successfully with a group of 6 friends. We had a lot of luck on our side, as it was everyone's first attempt at a Promyvion with the exception of one. My concern was, that everyone had setup a macro to use both the Psychoanima and the Hysteroanima with a wait of 10 in between for the final boss. This macro failed on the 2nd anima and we had to manually use the 2nd anima each time.

Does anyone know the correct wait time between using your Psychoanima, and then being able to use your Hysteroanima? Wait 10 was obviously not enough.

The same thing happened to me when i tried to use consecutive macros, but I don't think it's a matter of waiting ten seconds afterwards, because when i manually used it immediately after the second macro failed, it worked. Maybe it's a glitch? I don't know.

All I can say is THANK YOU for writing this very comprehensive guide.

I wish to GOD that everyone would read this who ever plans to do Promyvion because I've had the WORST luck with idiots who either suck as leader or suck as participants, goof off the whole time and get everyone killed and waste everyone's time.

I did my first Promyvion-Holla literally the day after CoP came out (I had preordered CoP) and I STILL haven't beaten any of them except Dem. I've tried Holla 4x and Mea once.

You are so right, communication and LISTENING are the keys to success. Weak leadership is as much to blame as the people who **** up.

I wish everyone could spread the word about this guide so maybe some people will become educated.

Darkprayer, wanted to say that your guide has been indispensible in my succeeding with Dem and Mea so far (and Holla tomorrow hopefully ^^). We just did Mea last night as WAR/NIN, RNG/NIN, WHM/BLM, BST/WAR, SMN/WHM, and MNK/WAR (I was the WHM). Even though we had an aggro issue on the 3rd floor that required Benediction (d'oh!), we went ahead and fought the boss anyway. With animas it went very smoothly. We used terro for the first 1/2 to 2/3 of the fight, then switched to hystero both to prevent him from using his specials and to keep him from running around too much (so that the SMN and MNK could 2hr effectively....he just runs around like chicken-with-head-cut-off when you use terro....hystero made it so the tank could tank for the last part of the fight). No one was even close to dying until the very end, when he managed to get out one carousel with a sliver of life left which caught me in the middle of recasting stoneskin....I only had 2hp left when he dropped. Other than that, not bad. In terms of party setup, I thought it was pretty well balanced in terms of types of damage (melee, ranged, summons, etc). BST works pretty well for the bosses since the pet can still hit while the mob is running/bouncing around (as can the RNG of course, and to an extent the SMN as well), so give some love to the BSTs too if you see one wanting to join.

Just to reiterate what some previous people have said about their experiences and some overall good advice (which applies to xp parties in some cases as well but especially to this):

DON'T run ahead (can't stress this enough...keep the train as short as possible. Move as one, stop as one, rest as one, fight as one.)
DON'T go afk (if you must, please wait until you get to the spire or at minimum the beginning of the next floor)
DON'T run for the boss before you've buffed up AND rested mp back to full
DON"T forget that scroll of instant reraise WHMs if you want to be on the safe side (or want to raise if you fail the boss)
DO have only *one* leader (and be sure to LISTEN and do what he/she says)
DO have at least a few animas (and especially make sure to set a casting order for them before you enter)
DO bring the appropriate meds for the battle you're fighting (pool your gil and split a stack, that way no one is stuck with a stack of 9 or 10 after you're done)
DO set aside the proper amount of time to complete the number of runs you're planning on doing (esp if you're doing more than one of the promys)
DO, if you get aggro on the last floor, stay calm....just run for the zone (you'll probably want to wait for a voke first if you're a squishy taru mage like myself). If you don't make it, the WHM can easily raise you and you can continue on your way. Don't try to fight, just run.

and finally....

DO kick it's ass. That IS the idea, right?

If you follow the principles of this guide (and use some common sense), I promise you'll come out fine. Darkprayer has a very good guide here, make use of it.

Thanks for guide I did Promyvian-Mea w/ a japanese party organization was sweet everybody knew there role; Then we figured to do Dem; Very bad some of it was my fault I only brought 1 X-potion and saved it (slaps his own face) then I got smacked for 200+ HP and died; Didn't activate my reraise scroll like in Mea which I just popped up did invicible and hoped for the best which worked; Hence why I ended with 52HP it was crazy but worked; word to the wise remember if pld your not a nin the next hit will prob hit you so don't go below 50% HP; But i did have 1 Question if you die but party wins how does that work out does it count as you winning or do you have to do it again?

The reason that it would be preferred is that you are taking on the strays solo and if you miss the next 1 will hit then the next less dmg less whm or healers have to heal; And for the end fight when you do EE Shot and go crazy the shadows help alot so you can go crazy and tanks can bet back aggro due to that love update; but you can prob go as war depending on race like he said before there are no set jobs; ppl would prefer nin over paladin but I hold my own and prove them wrong I saved countless parties with my pld in BCNM but I thot of my disadvantages so think of yours if you play it right and you show your stuff then you have nothing really to worry about and as rng stay away in last fight you might be parties last chance also dont be cheap

This is a great guide, and I've used it to help people through Promyvion. Although I do have one thing that I disagree strongly with from this guide.

Melee should fight the MR directly. Or up to 4 melee anyway, if you're going in with an alliance. Melee weapons do much better damage against the MR than magic, I've noticed. It seems a shame to tell what are possibly the best damage dealers against MRs to 'sit back and help kill strays' while keeping the weaker damage dealers to kill the MR.

The RNG on the other hand should take care of the Strays, because Ranged Attacks are much better for handling weak, quick to kill mobs like the strays.

For those concerned with the knock-back effect of Empty Seed: If you notice, every MR has is surrounded by 4 columns. Before you engage, Every melee should stand so that they are directly in front of one of these columns. If your Melee are positioned right, the MRs, Empty Seed attack will push you against the column, and you will not go flying.

For those of you concerned with actually having to make the healer work: Full rests are actually recommended once you beat the MR anyway. I've never been in a situation where the extra damage (if any) to a melee from an MR has caused a WHM to run out of MP or put the party into any danger.

It's just a little thing. I just wanted to clarify that melee can work against MR, and very well.

Also, the Promyvions go to the bold and the well-prepared. Go in with an appropriate strategy for your set up, with Anima, and with the idea that "Hey, I can beat this", and it's not difficult. Oh yes, and better a balanced group with 6 people who know how to do their jobs right, than the mystical ideal set up with 6 people who only level jobs for Promy, and don't know the ins and outs of their job.

Wondering if someone can help me out here.

I went and farmed some Reco's.
Frist time ever having any, so I don't have any Anima's.

I go to the guy in R. Gardens, I trade him a Reco and 2,000G, but nothing happens.

No matter what Reco I trade, and the 2k gil, nothing happens.

Any ideas?

hello everyone my name is leapra. I followed under DP here on Hades in Promy. I hope to answer a few of your questions

A few things about anima. Anima is nice to have and will raise the chances of victory. For promy dem and sometimes promy mea. You can get past without anima for they are easy. Promy Holla I suggest anima just to help on the tough BCNM.

Collecting anima, you just need access into a promy area and just farm on the low lvl near the where you port in to farm the recs. Take them back trade to the guy plus the gil. I believe you have to wait a few mins then just talk to him again and he should give you the anima.

For those reading this guide, the biggest advice I can tell you. Be relaxed and have fun with it, promy is a wonderful area to go through. For those out there looking to lead people through promy. Be prepared for lots of fun, I love leading promy runs. I think its a blast speically getting to the last floor then just training the zone to the bcnm. I hope you all enjoy your time in Promy and GL

Did you erase your memory of the Promyvion you entered?

Your character has to remember that they've been to Promyvion to be able to give Harith the recollections.

You should add, don't go afk for 30 minutes after you get the item you wanted from the map NM to this guide Dark. I heard people get MPKed over that sort of stuff.

You really should update this sometime soon, seeing as your perspective might have changed since that last run into dem.

I was in a party with Darkprayer and we did a ENM following this guide. We got through Promyvion easily and whipped the NM. Of course we won....but didn't get any gil. If Darkprayer on Hades asks for a ENM, lot as much as you can in there. O_o (Never know who you can trust)

Great post. All I can suggest is maybe what is considered a "good setup", as well as that you do NOT need antidotes on Promy-Mea. We beat it with 5 due to one person d/c'ing, and had no antidotes. It helps but is not necessary.

Also, maybe add that rng is optional. The rng could be replaced with another war/nin for tanking in the BCNM, and MRs aren't -that- hard to find. I would only recommend rng for first-timers. Other than that great guide. Very well written and thought-out with lots of information.

We did mea last night with no RNG at all, and with only 5 people because one dropped as the fight started. War/War/Blm/Whm/Smn. Was close though.

The Seether mob also has another ability that I have seen several times when doing the investigatons with a friend and our NPCs. The move is called Occultation and it provides the Seether with shadows. After the first time we never let him use it to it's fullest advantage because the move gave it 26 shadows. We had to stop for a moment and make sure to count them all accurately because we wailed on it for a good while and the shadows just seemed to never stop. Since then my RDM buddy just drops a Diaga as soon as the move is used.

I seem to be in a bit of a bind and was hoping for some assistance. I have done Prom Holla and want to go back in to help a friend. Went all the way up to the spire and when I got the door ..I was unable to enter..I could do the ENM though. I think I was like the third person to enter (or in my case attempt). I was unable to get in.

When I attempted to clear my memories all three gave a 'No Respond'

Am I suppose to do something to be able to reenter?
