Any traditional FFXI groups?Follow

I'm not sure if I'll actually get any responses to this or if it's even possible in today's FFXI, but I was recently feeling pretty nostalgic. ^^; I started playing FFXI soon after its release, and I loved the game and became pretty addicted. I quit in 2005 because of school, and didn't get the chance to play it again until two years ago. However, I came back to a completely different game. It was fun for a few months, but after a while it became boring and I began to miss the old FFXI. Would anyone be interesting in forming a static dedicated to enjoying the game in a more traditional style? By this I mean leveling through an old school XP party in which each person actually has an important job to perform. I know the game was nearly impossible this way and could be really frustrating, but it was so challenging that whenever you actually accomplished something it felt so rewarding.

Good luck guys! I don't have the time for that anymore. I have fond memories but I've changed along with the game. I do get some of that feels (in a more lonely way) playing with my trust NPCs.

The devs say they want to have it so trust NPCs can join parties as of the next update. So even if you don't get a full group you might be able to fill out roles with NPCs. Not exactly the same old school thing, but it might make it more possible.

It's totally possible. I've been playing a 75 cap character for quite a while. It's a lot of fun, there's tons of stuff to do, since all of the old 75 cap content is still there.
