Wings of the Godess soloable?Follow

Since Cait Sith is coming in the next update, I need to get through WoG. Question is how much can I do by myself. I am at A Feast for Gnats (windy)

SMN? Yeah there's probably nothing (other than maybe Lilith's second form) that one bloodpact won't one-shot, and there's nothing that can damage your avatar while it's holding any remaining mobs while BP cooling down. You can probably beat most fights without summoning, just melee with an iLevel staff. Before Aldouin I soloed on 99WHM (99 Mjollnir though) all the way to the Spitewarden 4x fight (penultimate battle), and just didn't bother going further because of the CS at Throneroom to progress. Probably would have been fine. Lilith might have been hard on WHM if she did death and I didn't run out of range fast enough.

It's all definitely soloable.

Last February (so, pre-Adoulin) I soloed the Spitewarden fight with DNC, and then soloed Lilith with SMN.

With current gear and iLvl stuff, I'd imagine they're pretty much a joke.

Word of advice: do not bother with the Bastok path for your first run through if you're going solo. Fire in the Hole is a pain in the rear to get through at any level, on par with some of the worst Assaults.

I recently helped some people get through it on PUP/WHM (with refresh gear on of course) by cure-bombing the NPC through the last fight while using my automaton as another attacker. So it's mainly having someone explicitly curing the NPC that is important, because the UI makes it nearly impossible to cure-bomb the NPC and fight the mobs at the same time. Also, I had gone through it plenty of times in the 75 days, so I knew what to watch for.

Since Lilith's attacks are primarily magical (and are the reason why I got utterly wasted when I tried to solo it on DNC for lolz a while back pre-Adoulin), I would imagine all the magic evasion boosts on ilvl gear might help tremendously, if that stat actually helps you resist the damage.

I can't speak of the current state, but during the olden level 75 days WHM was actually a semi-decent soloer due because of its healing and hexa strike.

Just FYI, shadows are just about worthless for the fight.

/NIN might still be worth it for the dual wield though if you have a decent offhand.

If you have mystic boon, you should never run out of mana. I use Spirit Taker on my other mages and even nonstop nuking, it more than sustains me.
If you don't have mystic boon, don't play whm dd.

After I got MB, I was really unimpressed in that it didn't give me as much MP as I really wanted. But then I guess I was wanting to use it in campaign and get xp for healing the NPCs. At least I'm good at timing heals between attacks... as long as I'm not being double-teamed, of course.

Now I can get 4 refresh idle from gear (but one is the WotG earring so it won't work engaged), plus at least one more from book refresh or juice. But really, there's little point other than showing off when I can just go IoIPUP. Even going {pet} {fight} mode by standing back and pumping in light maneuvers while my automaton ignores/resists most debuffs, I can probably do better than on WHM.
