Sorry if the topic is repeated,

Bit o' history:
I played ffxi for 3-4 years from 2003 to 2005/6, and stopped. I had a red mage capped (back then) with a lot of (back then) nice stuff: full AF, scrop harness, millions of gil and chocobo digging level 5.

I stopped playing and when I tried to link the old play online ID to my SE account, I was told (eventually), by an online chat support person that my account is permanently deleted and so very finally gone.

Now, is it REALLY gone?

If yes, is it worth going back and purchasing the game again? the Rune Fencer is what peaked my interest.

If yes (repeating myself, I know), which package to buy?

buy the full adoulin package - I believe it is the only one available anyway, besides if you want runefencer you'll need adoulin.

Yes, it is easier than ever to catch up, have some fun, get some neat loot and experience quests, missions and storylines that you may not have had the opportunity to experience before.
