Question about purchasing SoAFollow

I just returned to the game to give it another try, and I left a few months before SoA came out, so I never bought it. Obviously to do anything worth doing now, I need this expansion, but it still seems so expensive ($29.99 for the expansion, or $39.99 for the UE)

So I'm wondering if anyone knows where I can get the expansion only for PC cheap, or if not, whether anyone knows if I buy the 360 version for $39.99, will the SoA content be active on my PC version? (I understand that I would need to find a way to get the game disc to install it)

While I'm making a post, I may as well ask one more question. I've been leveling my Monk and SAM just for something to do, but I'm wondering if I can (or should) bother with anything in Abyssea. I have some incomplete AF2 sets, that I would like to finish, but is it even worth it with ilevel gear out now? It seems that for purely stats (not special bonuses) the sparks gear kills anything you can get in Abyssea... maybe I'm wrong.

Also, with that gear being so powerful, is it now possible to solo pretty much anything in Abyssea with the right atma?

Thanks!

For MNK, AF3 body is good for Impetus. Other gear like Atheling Mantle an Epona's Ring are worth it in Aby as well. Most high end gear will be from SoA.

Ok thanks. I have Epona Ring, Atheling, and all relevant Atma. I will look at getting that Monk body and upgrading it. But for my last question about NM difficulty now, can a BLU or THF or BST or NIN in Sparks gear solo most stuff in Aby now? Can't really expect anyone to help me these days with so much other content to do. My LS is pretty much focused on AA and DM stuff.

Amazon.com has the expansion as a download for 19.99.

I'm also back from a "little" break, and don't have SoA. I've done about a dozen Aby runs on BST since, and I've been able to solo pretty much everything I've encountered to date. NM's for +1 seals are a joke. Also, just yesterday I completed one of the abyssea main quests in Altepa, I want to get my 3rd lunar abyssite and work on my Empy +2 armor.

I have nothing stellar gear wise, sparks armor + axe (which made a huge difference from my previous armor set [perle]), and totemic gloves (not +1 yet).

Yeah, so since I'm in Canada, I can't do the Amazon.com download- it says billing address in USA only. My options are still to pay 29.99 or 39.99. I really need this question answered though...

Can I purchase the SoA Ultimate Collection on Xbox 360, and use that to link my accounts, then obtain the files needed for the PC version, and play the fully unlocked version on either platform? I like the idea of sitting back in comfort and playing on the 60" screen, but I like the flexibility of the laptop as well. If I can play on both with one purchase, I would pay the 39.99 for the 360 version.

Thanks.

Yep, codes are account based so this will work. Though download the expac data via torrent at your own risk, you never know if someone will throw anything "extra" in there >.>

To help out anyone else in my situation, Gamestop has a sale on the seekers PC expansion for $9.99, and the ultimate seekers collection for $14.99 (both digital download). I finally have SoA now, and any advice anyone can give me is appreciated. Now I'm off to explore.

You can also register a U.S. adress of someone you know and use the amazon e-giftcard to pay for SoA even if you reside in Canada :)
