Servers with an active social community?Follow

Hello everyone! I first started playing FFXI in... Somewhere around the end of 2004, I believe? Anyways, I played for a few years, quit, lost my account information, and just recently was able to recover it. Now, I know the most populated servers are Odin, Phoenix? and Bahamut... But, I'm not looking for any endgame, or anything. I'm just wondering what servers have an active social community? I'm just looking for people to level with, talk to, just do some fun stuff while I get used to the game again. I'm on Asura, and it's really dead... So I'm looking to transfer to possibly one of the big three. I played on Bahamut a long time ago, and I remember it being pretty active... Anyone know if that's still the case? It's just really lonely without friends, it feels like I'm playing a single player game! Thanks in advance for any insight on the matter!

People don't really do social in shouts. Gotta find an LS. Best way to do that is to play the game. Maybe try shouting for a social or just dig around looking for folks recruiting?

I know the game can be really lonely without an active shell. Been there a few times myself.

Asura was buzzing when I was playing last week. You may not have been in the right town. Home Nations are ghost towns and then you have Jeuno, but that's not as busy as it was before the new expansion.
