Do we know how this spawns yet? ಠ_à²
Pretty sure they eased its spawn condition and now it just randomly appears on the boat to Whitegate, just like how Proteus randomly shows up on the boat to Nashmau. Supposedly it can even show up again on the same trip after being killed.
Hmm. AFAIK it always used to "spawn randomly" but the conditions were never known so those times were typically when the conditions were met but we didn't know it. Wouldn't this still be the case?
Beats me; personally it's been years since I've ever been on that boat in either direction
They've adjusted how Almighty Apkallu spawns so that he now spawns almost all the time between the prper boat between Nashmau and Whitegate. Whereas before there was some gimmick that we just didn't know about, since then they've changed it.

Wouldn't surprise me if the gimmick was "Well, it was supposed to spawn on X conditions but KankePanke in development messed up when coding it, so it never showed for some reason unless a Male Tarutaru and Mithra were on board alone, naked, and it was dark outside."
And there was another tarutaru with a camera hiding in a box.
Well, the spawn conditions were likely not a coding issue or else it never would've been seen during that time, which it was, just extremely rarely. Or it would have appeared right after every update and not be seen since (Steam Cleaner started to break on some servers like that in 2005 before it was fixed).
The most common suspected spawn conditions I saw was something tied to the number of riders, but that seemed odd because of the 2 ferry routes being 2 different zones. I wonder if it was tied to some threshold of passengers. Many more went to Nashmau (Proteus) than from Nashmau (Almighty Apkallu). I wished SE would have revealed what the spawn conditions were. No harm now since it's a thing of the past.

He appears on the boat returning from Nashmau either when a Besieged is advancing or attacking, can't remember which. Since most people would not wait for the boat and just warped to Whitegate, His spawn conditions were pretty much unknown.
