Just bought a new laptop, Win8, installed the game. Everything works perfectly except that character models, pc, npc, mob, do not show up. Everything else works just fine, I can see terrain, backgrounds, spell/battle effects, names, and can interact with everything normally. Tried rebooting, zoning, file check, no problems found. Any help identifying the issue and how to correct it is appreciated.

This is a known issue with the Intel 4000 chipset. I think it's either been fixed with a new driver release, or can be fixed by rolling back a driver. I'll try to dig up a link for you.

Either that or he might he have to set his graphic device to his Nvida/ATI card.

Thanks so much for this, the advice in the link did the trick. (though it was a 3000 chipset rather than 4000) Oh well, it worked that's all that matters.:)
