Now that Summoner has been rendered worthless I was wondering what DD job I should bring up for Adoulin. I see plenty of PLDs soloing mobs. Lets see I have a 75 Drg 42 NIN 37 SAM. I have a 99 THF 37 BST also have geo and RUN unlocked

SMN is hardly useless, it's one of top job for wildskeeper reives and Delve content.

If you always want to be on the bandwagon, SAM is where it's at. You'll never have to worry about being unpopular. The great katana from Uptala makes the job even more desirable.

In Adoulin, especially for Wildskeeper Reives and outside Delve NMs, Summoner is an extremely good job to have. It's near hateless damage and the magic accuracy of bloodpacts like Night Terror and Nether Blast on Delve NMs with resist rates that increase as time goes on is a major plus.

I've been told that BST is, well, a beast out there as well. Smiley: lol

OP clearly states SMN is Useless for som inexplicable reason don't go changing his mind. WHM will never go out of style or Ochain PLD.

Well, I'd like to argue the OP now that I've played it some more myself. SMN has done well for me in Adoulin colonization rieves. Better than BST, actually. I use an avatar capable of AOE buffs and cures (Garuda is fabulous), and focus on keeping the aggro off the players picking away at the roots.

WHM, COR, BRD, PLD, SAM in no particular order.

Whm, Cor, Brd .... because people will get butt hurt if they don't get their friends invited as DD.

I am a career BST and can attest BST can do really well in the new areas solo, but nobody will accept you into a delve group, skirmish group, etc. Fortunately they don't have a choice if you want to show up to a wildskeeper reive or any other reive for that matter and we actually perform well in those. You can solo mobs in all of the new areas easy, you can charm stuff in every zone, VT stuff too, and there is not a colonization assignment you can't solo with BST. But forget about doing delve for now, which is the most desirable thing to do, because elitists have decided RME only for now.

I do agree that anyone on BST won't give a lot of invites though... the job does not have the best reputation.

False, it was you who decided this.

The "elitists" just happen to be the only ones (but not really) putting together plasm farming groups. You, me, and anyone else is free to organize our own runs and improvise without specific jobs. I bet there are probably 30+ people just standing around, waiting for someone to start a farming run, so that won't be an issue. I don't agree with groups that require RMED DDs* and I certainly don't endorse them, but there are always other options.

Compared to farming, I will give you that obtaining KIs does require a bit of a step up in terms of gear, but with a bit of research and organization, I believe there is at least one NM for each KI that is not impossible to defeat in a pickup group. Leeching the KI is also an option, but results may vary. You may also build up a hoard of plasm until another shouts for the appropriate NM for your KI.

*There is always some limit on gear requirements, it varies depending on the event, but can be extremely low.

Uhhh maybe it's becuase I haven't played in awhile but I've experienced people who've ******** whined, spent 10-30 minutes trying to convince me to kick people that aren't in the "cookie cutter manual to success" then try to convince other people in my alliance to quit and form up with their better group.

So while I definitely agree with the "form your own" sentiment, sometimes that **** doesn't always fly batman. These people do come to rain on your parade.
