So, from what I recall, in Genkai 4 Maat gives you four Kindred's Seals and sends you on a journey to deliver them to the right people.
The problem is my buddy's started this and Maat hasn't given him the Kindred's Seals, but has given him the dialogue, help?

Maat does not give you the seals, you must farm them on your own.
I don't think Maat has ever given you seals for the quest but I hope you have given him some advice about not throwing away any seals he finds at this point.
If he has none then he would need to fight some level 50+ mobs that usually drop them frequently or he could use some beastmen seals to trade in for Kindred seals instead?

I believe it's a 3:1 ratio when trading, so he'd need 12 Beastmen Seals to acquire 4 Kindred Seals.

Yes, it's a 3:1 ratio for all the seals. In order to get 4 Kindred's Seals, he'd need 12 Beastmen Seals, 12 Kindred's Crests, or 12 High Kindred's Crests.

if you have spent a lot of time in places like gusgen mines and even doing a bit of soloing then there's a chance he may have more beastmen seals then kindred seals to complete the quest.
That was sort of my idea when I mentioned trading in seals.

I believe you need to to gain experience off the mob to farm up seals. At 65 your friend should be able to take on the Exoray solo. They should con Easy Prey. Trading however is probably the easiest way to get them, and fastest having extra in stock.
