There is a limit quest every 5 levels still, including one at lv75- but they're all extremely simple until lv95.

Since you're returning, your merit mode is left at whatever it was set at. The xp/merit mode can be changed at any time from any place, but you can only spend merits in your mog house. In your case, to order to level up, you must switch to xp mode and complete the lv75 limit quest.

Since leveling is done in alliances, your contribution is less significant, so your job matters very little. You'll probably come across several naked lv50 players in an alliance while you are leveling at lv75+.

Macros are stored locally, but you have the option of backing up one set of macros to the server via the character selection screen. I believe it's CTRL ALT SHIFT B to store them, and CTRL ALT SHIFT R to retrieve them.

Just be on the character selection screen, and select the character you want to retrieve, and hit that key combo before you log the rest of the way in. If there is any stored data on the server, SE will download it for you. If there is no stored data, the screen will tell you as much.

That reminds me, I really need to redo my last save - my BLU macros are completely different

Oh wow, great info! I leveled dragoon 67-75 least night in two hours at a valor party, and only made a few macros. Hopefully mine are still stored! Ill check tonight, because I had tons of them!
