I have a few questions. I am on the Asura Server because I heard it had the most North American Players on it. Is this accurate? And also, how can you check the current population of your server (just in general, not per region).

Only way to "see" world population is "/sea all". That will show you all players currently logged into the server only though. It's hard to point to which server has a higher NA playerbase though.

There's no way anyone can tell you the amount of NA versus JP players on a server. It's clear to say they were lying out of their ears. There's just no way to pinpoint the amount. And even then, those people have only ever been on one (or in worst case two) servers. They wouldnt be able to proclaim their server has the most NA players.

At best, they can say there's a decent amount of NA players online on their server. But that goes for just about any server.

You could probably, technically, find the amount of active accounts per server on FFXIAH, but that too wont tell you much. Can be that people simply have a lot of AH activity on a people with a lot of mule accounts.

Just pick a server who's name you like and go with that.

Bismarck current is 1644. That's PM during a weeknight in Japan, and AM during a holiday in the US.

Asura is a decent server. It has plenty of NA players. I don't think it matters if it is "the most" - the point is, there are enough NA players if you specifically want to play with NA players. Personally I could do with a few less NA players crowding up dynamis at all hours, but that is just me.

Okay, that command did not work for me to see the current population. Does it only work on PC because I'm on xbox 360?

The command

/sea all

works on all systems.

Anyway, it's more important to have an active linkshell than the most populated server.
