Well... No duh?

You'd have to be some sort of... I don't know... raving *** to be sore about a job not getting an AOE haste when it natively has neither haste nor the ability to make it AOE in the first place.

Locations of the .DATs are in the OP for Altanaviewer

New DRK JA

Neat.

Maybe I'll load them all up and throw it on youtube.

It's almost certainly for RNG. You can tell just by looking at it.

If Feather Tickle is any indication, it's not even going to be worth putting in your spell list.

I'm being sarcastic. Last year there was a huge flame war in the Thief forum over the idea of Mandau having a Plague effect instead of Poison. Some people claimed that giving a 3TP per tick TP down effect to a weapon where only 350 exist across all servers would completely break and destroy the game beyond any hope of repair.

Ah. I never really go to the THF forums, didn't know about that.

Maybe Hastega won't bring invites, but the absence of a 1 minute timer on all your other support spell as a consequence for casting it sure will.

It's like laughing at myself in the mirror now, god I hate being a SMN.

You know, I don't think I have ever used that spell, or even set it. Not once, not even for shiggles.

Yeah NIN does not need any job abilities either just more dual wield and spells!

Just shut up Bob, god. You have become to PUP what Mellowy is to SMN.
While on the idea of SMN that comment would be the same as saying SMN really did not need to get elemental siphon because it is all about the pet. Honestly SMN did not need elemental siphon, but it is really nice to get close to 300 MP.

WTF defines "JA job" too? Corsair?

About 20 minutes on the youtube link, plus I'll have to do some annotations because movie maker didn't want to load the raw file.

The two COR animations don't load though. Probably just calls the roll animation.

Tummie could throw me the .dat locations for the new spells too and I'll make another video for them.

When you load up the mob models in the viewer can you gauge the relative size compared to a player model?

New spells/ja's aside I'm still curious to how big those new abysea mandys are...

Most things are scaled in-game. I think I remember something about Krab being normal size in the .dats.

COR, DNC and SCH mainly and PUP actually is a 'JA' intensive job on a lesser level unless I've been playing it wrong >.> It just doesn't need more JAs than it has compared to jobs like SCH which lives on JAs.

Do you really want to be Hasting melee on your BLM? -_-
The thing I'm trying to point out here is that NOT ALL MAGES will get AOE Haste, ok? So, the poster I quoted was wrong in pointing out all mages were gonna get that spell, one of them will now be the odd ball out, poor BLMs, getting shafted more and more with each update. One fewer reason to invite them to a party.
Uh, why would not getting hastega affect them getting parties? The only difference is that hastega uses less mp than haste*3-5, which doesn't matter if they have more than enough mp. Besides, between enspells, stoneskin, etc, you may not even always http://ffxi.allakhazam.com/forum.html?forum=10&mid=1276154826210246514&post=1&replyto=127619669084856646&page=2#want to use a charge on hastega.

I was being sarcastic, BLMs and parties don't mix anymore, probably never again. Whatever, you are all way off the mark, missing the point of what I said, here let me put it out in plain english:

Do not state that all mages get a form of Hastega now, because BLM is still defined as a mage and they don't have any way to get that. Same goes for any other statement similar to that one. Are we clear?

Good.

how is PUP a JA intesive job, they have Two native JA one at level one, one at level 15, and 2 merited ones. They are one of the jobs with the least amount of JA's in the game.

PUP's need to use their maneuvers to increase certain stats on their auto's and help them perform better. Most PUP's are using JA's every 20-30 seconds so in a way yes, PUP is a JA intensive Job. It's not the amount of JA's they have (They have 8 elemental maneuvers alone) but the repeated use of said maneuvers.

And, like BST or SMN, all they do all day long is spam those few JAs because it's the only way they have of controlling their pets.

JA intensive job doesn't mean they have a buttload of JAs, no, it means that's pretty much all they do. In contrast, a Job like BLM is a spell intensive Job.

This is not a thread for semantics. Go argue it in the appropriate pet job forum. Opinions etc.

Call me anti-semantic if you like.
