Don't forget the shadow lord will only drop a specific piece of gear (mail, helmet, or sword) depending on which nation has control of the north land campaign areas!
Its also definitely a sexy option/alternative for using on PLD if you don't have homam body, or you don't like the -evasion on Haubergeon, or if you don't have an Ares Cuirass.
dotdotdot
And what does ares have to do with this? Ares is for refresh, when you're standing around doing nothing, not to tp in.

At the moment of my post I was just imagining a PLD soloing something or in campaign. That's all. I didn't mean it as an absolute.
I'm going to assume that most of the items that have increased states on Darksday are going to be drops from shadowlord, or associated NM in the area.
The allied ring, I can see this being a WOTG area only exp band and purchased with AN.
OOOOODDDDDIIIIIINNNNNN FIGHT. *tackles*
Edit: Oh. I officially get to laugh now. HAHAHAHA
And you know whats gonna suck worse all you people who just love to hate campaign. Square gonna make you have to have a certain rank just to do that op.(Similiar to the witch sash Ops) So yeah. You want more reasons to do campaign. Square just gave you twenty lol.
I can't imagine this will be too difficult since Campaign will now likely be done by everyone, his brother, his brother's best friend, that guy's brother, and that guy with a dragon tattoo on his shoulder that used to mow his lawn every Saturday.
The +6 stat rings are probably gonna come from the new NMs they released. I read earlier that they are R/Ex so I looked up the word "Zilant" (the Dex one, I'm a THF) and lead to a Wiki post for Zilant which is a dragon/wyvern from Tatar/Russian folklore and a dragon is one of the new NMs.
Just to add some more info/speculation, Strigoi (Strength) is from Romanian mythology for the disturbed souls of the dead, so possibly the Vampyr, Blobnag had no hits but it has to be the giant Ooze, Corneus is part of the scientific name for a giant snail (Antlion?), and Karka is the name of a summit in the Hindu Raj range of Pakistan (?).
Galdr is an Old Norse word for spell or incantation. There is also the Grogaldr which is one of six eddic poems involving necromancy, which brings up the possibility of the Vampyr again. Finally, Veela is a Slavic version of nymph (the fairy). Again this is all speculation, but this would go along with SEs tendecy to pull from all sorts of mythologies.
There are 6 of these VNMs, too, so having them each drop a type of ring makes sense. I bet they're all kinds of horrible in either their strength or their drop rate.

i'd say they're from yagudos, orcs, quadavs and demons nms roaming castle vahlz s
edit : i don't usualy care, but why do i get rated down for some realist speculation ? -.- some of theses names sounds yags, orcs or demons and in the present there are all theses in the castle... there are also beastmens nm roaming in the others stronghold...
Seeing how good those rings are, I think they are the reward for finishing the WOTG missions and you can choose only one out of the six.
The WotG missions don't end this patch, they finish in September Update so I don't think they would add rings in the dats you can't get for 2 updates later.
Is there possibly anymore information about the Campaign NPC WS? Like are the weapons only can be used in campaign? Or can you "Break" and learn the weaponskill.
Looking at the name provided for the NMs may provide more clues. Yilbegan is man-eating monster from Tatar myths so it is connected to the Zilant.
Orcus is the Roman god of the underworld that would connect him to the Strigoi and Galdr rings.
Verthandi is the romanicized(Sp?) of an Old Norse word meaning "to become." This would link it with the Galdr ring due to the Old Norse origin and that Galdr is a spell (to bring a spell into existence).
Lord Ruthwen had three entries. One as the title of of a Scottish noblemen whose family crest badge has a ram (Corneus ring, the snail was called the giant ramshorn, yeah this one is a long, long stretch), a town in Germany, and a vampire and it literary descendants that originally appeared in a British short story in 1816.
