how did you fix that? how can you main hand and off hand the same r/ex weapon?

my bad, read that as a maneater...was gonna mess with the maneater too.

it's been a long weekend and my brain is fried, my apologies.

Edit i hope that fendoir is augmentable somehow cause the damage would be crap even with 2 hits. that'll just feed tp to the mob for little to no gain.

Jesus. Can't SE ever add a staff for Summoners that doesn't enhance black or white magic, which SMN doesn't have? Kind of silly the only staffs for a SMN after 6 years are elemental staffs, Dragon Staff, Astral Staff, Bahamut Staff and Fay Crozier.

At least WAR, MNK, BST also get them. Just to show how much of a joke the job listings are.

(Else the weapons look like great additions for actual mage jobs)

It can probably be Augmented or Evolith can be applied to it to enhance it.
I thought of that (for the great axe version, mind you, but the same thought process can be applied cross spectrum), but unless it it'd have to be some ridiculously high augment or evolith or whatever to really be worth it. Considering the level of the Great Axe, a Fortitude Axe has almost double the base damage (30 vs. 64) and can basically do the same thing. The Axe is in the same boat; The "equivalent," Temperance Axe, has almost two and a half times the base damage (14 vs. 39). Granted, you can use a Fire Bomblet/Bomb Core with these, those items won't make up for the amount of base damage you'd be giving up.

Of course, this doesn't take acquisition into account, as I'm sure someone will chime in about how impossible it is to get the Virtue Weapons and Stones. However, as we don't know the way to acquire these either, I think its fair to discount both.

My guess is the "Chipped" weapons are the base for the Aern weapons. We have to use those to craft or upgrade into the slottable Aern weapons.

war's soboro?

Can't see it being all that useful in the face of Fortitude Axe, which is over twice the base damage. While it does mean using stones, and does only list "Occasionally Attacks Twice", the Jailer weapons can still DA when they proc. So it can actually attack three times as well.

Those Evolith augments seem annoyingly specific. The elemental accuracy grips were annoyingly specific as it is for being just elemental type and crap for the inventory space, and now it's seperated by magic too?

Guess just need to wait for what the second half of the augments are and how potent they'll be.

Any sign of NMs listed in the areas shown that are duplicated across zones? ie. like sandworm.

My guess is those are what you get when you "fail" the synergy process it takes to make those aern weapons. But who knows.

Are those retrace items r/ex? I wondered if they were rewards for the new nation specific wotg quests maybe. I hope not.. or if they are, unlimited charges would be great (like tavnazia ring).

Evoliths look too unspecific for me.

What type for example does Light shot fall under? Light enfeeble? Light divine? Light elemental?

Would almost require a Light shot category in itself with this kind of specifics.

All the while, mages (especially BLM, SCH, and RDM) have to sift through 24 permutations of that stuff.

Those evolith conditions are interesting, I wonder what kind of stuff shows up on the other side. I like all the blue magic stuff for sure. Well... cept "Azure Lore:" I guess. I am not sure what could show up on the other side of that that would ever make it worth getting and using.
Unless there's an "Azure Lore: Turns Azure Lore into Hundred Fists" evolith. :P

I don't think it's listed here, but on BG, they've got Snow Bunny and Snow Bunny +1 hats, with enchantment: Costume and Costume: Movement Speed+!

If we get to turn into bunnies, imagine what Whitegate could be like!

Here's copy-pasta:

Snow Bunny Hat
[Head] Enchantment: Costume
Costume: Increases movement speed
CanTradeNPC, CanEquip, NoSale, Ex, Rare
Lv 1 All
Charges: 10 Cast Time: 1s Equip Delay: 30s Re-use: 1d

S. Bunny Hat +1
[Head] Enchantment: Costume
Costume: Increases movement speed
CanTradeNPC, CanEquip, NoSale, Ex, Rare
Lv 1 All
Charges: 1 Cast time: 1s Equip Delay: 30s Re-use: 1d
