oh and /wave Hades lol. Helloooooo Excellence. LS leader's in that list. Matches with reports I've heard from ex-members about botting. Still, my momma always told me not to trust a sh*thead so I reserve judgment on the veracity of the list.

Really, sad thing is, my general impression is the majority of HNMlses bot :/

Not gonna stop me from /check /drooling tho. XD

It may be just a game, but people are paying MONEY to cheat at it. Money! Back in the good old days cheats and exploits were free. Things really have gone downhill. :(

That some one derives most of their self-esteem from in-game accomplishments (or the impression of them) might make them more likely to cheat, particularly for something like getting claim (since they could still talk themselves into believe that they still "deserve" whatever they get when they beat the NM.) I trust casual players more.

We are also buying a game once AND paying a retarded amount of money each month to play the game....no difference really.

Actually, yeah I do. Really really quickly I want you to explain how someone who does not exist on FFXI can be confirmed to have been using the botting program that only has uses that can be detected while in game?

Inactive in May.

Inactive in June.

Re-activated all 3 Content IDs on July 26th, 2007

I only wish POL Viewer gave me access farther back than May so I could show you the very day I deactivated my POL Content IDs on February 27th, 2007. I didn't even possess active content IDs until very late July when I returned to the game.

If you would please be so kind as to explain to me how one can be using a botting program when one does not have access to the game, hmm? I'll accept apologies now.

Not to sound like a diCk but you obviously don't have 2 accounts with tons of mules. I was paying over 40 bucks a month to play this game, to me that's a retarded amount of money to play ONE game.

One account here, no mules. It's your fault if you want two accounts and lots of mules, nobody else's. You can't really get all defensive over something you do to yourself.

I'm not offended. I've got one mule right now that doesn't have anything but some crystals, $14.

(it was my post)

The point is that the monthy fee is to use the game as its designed. You (presumably) like the game, so you're willing to pay for it to play it. Using a hax program means you DON'T like how the game is right now and want to change it. Paying for something like that seems sorta retarded; you're essentially paying money to fix something you didn't terribly like in the first place. Seems like you could save yourself the whole ton of trouble and money by just not playing it.

But the whole thing was suppoesd to be dry sarcasm ANYWAY, dry sarcasm that has now had all the fun bitterly squeezed out of it. Alas!

Now back to mudslinging.

Hi iizerg guys of Sylph! You guys suck at life. Remember all those "Oh no, a mob went unclaimed! I hope BlackRoses doesn't steal it!" jokes back in the good old days? The ones about bernie or BCNM mobs? Yeah, the joke's on you now. I guess that old saying about you becoming what you truely hate is true after all.

I just spoke to Robm, who is on that list, it's confirmed. He also told me the dates are off. Really, I don't want my in game friends who used those programs to get banned, I want the use of the programs to STOP, that's it, that simple. Is it too much to ask for? Yeah, I thought so, other botters, hackers will come.

Yes, the playing field isn't even because some players have more playing time than others. Yes, some players are luckier, etc... But, still, hacking is not a good idea, you are basically taking away the fun out of the game, and since you didn't put any effort into it, your achievements become nothing more than mere stepping stones towards a goal which is tainted by the cheating. Please, consider that before cheating, a dishonest victory doesn't taste as sweet as one which comes from hardship and effort.

Anyways, to those who cheat, be careful. And those who don't cheat, good job, you have earned the right to enjoy your victories.

Well, the date is presumably from when the ffxiap account was set up, and has nothing to do with when it was used, but you're right that it would be odd to buy it for an inactive account. It's not beyond the realm of possibility that someone other than yourself randomly spent $20 to set up an account that could only be used by characters named Hapernack on the Siren server, but it does seem to stretch the imagination. It would make sense if they were trying to frame you for it, but there was no way anyone could have expected all the names/servers/dates to be leaked like this. I suppose it's just as likely that they randomly had the wrong date in the database.

It was your post, I apologize. I also know it was meant as sarcasm, I just wanted to reply to it. You are also correct that I do enjoy the game and don't mind paying that huge monthly fee. I was just adding to your post because back in the day you bought the game once and played it.

As for people not enjoying the game the way it is, I can't really speak for them but I'm sure they do enjoy it without the haxorz but prefer to play it with them.Hey more power to them, if they have that extra money to burn on something that will get them caught oh well. I for one like the game a lot but I need windower in order to play on my PC, windower is free but if I had to pay for it I would in a heart beat because it facilitates my enjoyment of FFXI, so I guess I'm no better than any of those people on that list.

Edit: Spelling failz me.

Huh? How would FFXIApp database contain information when you used their program in game? It's when you purchased it from them for $20.

If you're the only person who got falsely accused, then that really sucks, but you'll have to make up a better defense than that.

"I wasn't with the murder victim when I purchased the murder weapon, so I couldn't have done it."

And people using windower got banned without using 3rd party programs. Right...

Nope...it's a game, and it not illegal to cheat in a video game no matter what SE's terms of service are, the only thing they can do is ban those players found cheating.

That is not the point. The list is a hacked SQL query of all the people that have purchased the program. As it is tied to user accounts once registered, it confirms that yes, you have purchased the program in the past.

I don't know what is more sad. The fact that you claim to not have played FFXI during some small portion of time or that you paid $20 for a hacking tool that knowingly stored your information somewhere, only to be resurrected at a later time, such as now.

There is a somewhat almost twisted satisfaction seeing people that were once pillars of their own elitist micro-communities now exposed as cheaters, hackers and botters. I have already seen in-game arguments over /shout, irc battles and even arrogant cowards such as Rykoshet excluding themselves as culprits for ridiculous reasons such as "There are 6 other Rykoshet's.. so it must be a mistake." while diverting attention to others.

Step up to plate and accept that the seeds you have sown have now grown into thorny realities. Dignity might be all you have left at this point.

If you are innocent, I'd actually suggest you sue Taj for throwing mud at your good name, then, Haper. I know I'd persecute this guy if my name was on that list and I was innocent. Anyways, the problem is this, a lot of people on all servers are learning about it right now, now's not a good time to be in that list.
