Late post but, did I hear correctly...?
She meleed the Memory Receptacle!?
I could honestly look past the WHM/THF job combo. Barely. But thats beyond a rookie error, thats idiocy at its finest. The irony is that this player moans at others for playing in an ineffective manner yet breaks EVERY single rule at the same time.
For Clefairy, though you probably don't want to hear it im going to give you a little advice for playing WHM on CoP missions.
1) Don't melee. Killing strays with a club is fine as they have low HP, but even those should be left to other players where possible. Only fight the ones which are causing you grief, and try to get a ranger to assist you as they can often 1-shot them.
2) HEAL! If you're meleeing you're not resting for MP. Its vital that a white mage is able to maintain their mana during fights, even with weak MR's. No one should be dying at MR's unless you've somehow pulled aggro from non-stray mobs in the area. Your cures are more than sufficient to heal any damage from Empty Seed, but ONLY if you have the MP to use them.
3) Stay the f--k out of AoE range! MR's aren't the only enemies in Promyvion which use AoE abilities. Even your bog-standard Promyvion lackey has an AoE of some sort, and you're jeopardising the teams efforts by getting too close. You're not a warrior, you're no tank. You're a very squishy WHM. Learn to live with the back line, its where we best do our delicate work.
4) Level BLM or SMN. Sorry, but you didn't think I'd go this thread without a brief mention to your poor support job choice. THF offers NOTHING to a white mage. For every argument you can find to support it, I can find twenty against it. Mage supports aren't used because the world wants to be cookie-cutter, they're used because they're effective. If you are not subbing a mage, you are playing in an ineffective manner which in turn affects the group.
If you feel I've made an error in judgement, feel free to argue my points. But don't critisise others for their mistakes until you have analysed your own.
