All i want out of this event but noone will tell me how to get one, and i'm going insane because i want one soooo bad. D: Please tell me how you get one.

i'm having the same problem with certain items. I'm trying to get every other item before bothering with pitchforks, but i cant get Horror Head II, Trick Staff II, and Treat Staff II. I've traded all kinds of sweets to all kinds of NPCs, but all i'm getting from anyone is a costume. I cant figure out if only certain NPCs give certain items, or if it's just random and I have to keep trading. Maybe i'm glitched or something. If anyone remembers exactly what sweet and NPC they used to get one of those three items, please let me know.

Find a NPC in a costume.
Grab a few stacks of Ginger Cookies.
Make a macro:
/targetnpc
/item "Ginger Cookie" <t>
Start spamming.

it's totally random. i have seen ppl in ls trading the same sweet over and over (spamming) until they got most of the items. the previous 2 halloween i got the same head or staff with that method.

as far as i can tell, you cant use the same sweet more than once a day. If i trade a Ginger Cookie once and get something, costume or item, I wont get anything from that sweet until the next game day. I currently have 6 types of sweets that i'm trying one of each every day, and for quite some time it's been nothing but costumes.

Wrong. I traded 2 Cinna cookies in a row to 2 totally different NPC's in the same zone and got trick staff and trick staff II.

For each item received so far, I have had to unequip my other Halloween items, otherwise I've only received a costume :)

Try using only normal (none-Halloween) gear and trading one sweet a day (as first sweet a day seems to always give you something, be it costume or item).
