Leviathan World Failure & Character Transfer (Oct. 21)
During the emergency maintenance on Oct. 20, several key server components for the Leviathan world were damaged. Since then, the Leviathan world has been inaccessible. Unfortunately, repairing the damage will require a complete overhaul of the Leviathan world servers, which will take approximately two months.
In the meantime, the Leviathan character data backups have been migrated to the Asura world, and will be migrated back once the Leviathan world is functional again.
We deeply apologize for the inconvenience.

I started to have doubts at the "two months" figure...that just wasn't credible. The "moving everybody to Asura" bit convinced me it was false, since nobody would make that kind of "let's destroy two servers for the price of one!" decision--the refugees would have been spread out to several servers.
FFXI refugees is a funny thought. I just picture ppl with there moogle floating behind them carrying all their crap.
lol I believed it at first but then I realized that yesterday's maintenance was scheduled, not emergency. Thanks for a much needed laugh at work on a Friday.
Goddamn you got me good! XD I just told my boyfriend 'Holy crap, Levianthan got ****** up yesterday! Glad we're on Alexander!' and he's all 'no way!' XD Then I had to tell him it wasn't true and I'd just fallen for a friday thread. Now I feel like an *** =D Good one! hehe.
